Okay, folks and tech-savvy people (also an actual Escapist forum-runner if I can get one), time to explain a strange little oddity about the login screen.

Now, for one reason or another, accounts which have been left on get bumped off after a while - deleting cookie data caches will do this, for instance - and thus I have to log in with username and password. Okay, no problem. Except that there's an strange twist there, when the site tells me that the username cannot be found. And THEN, when I go back to the main site index, I'm logged in.

So, you know, I did everything right and here I am posting, but there must be some kind of a bug in the system. Anybody got an idea what happened here?

That happens all the time to me...well, not all the time, as I can't remember the last time I was logged off.

Yeah that happens to me a lot. I'm just used to it now haha

it happens to me from time to time but I honestly never log off

Yeah that happens to me alot, you just have to refresh the page and you're logged in, weird though...

It happens to me whenever I log off, but I don't log off very much.

i think it's a script error. it's supposed to redirect you somewhere but will end up taking you somewhere else.

there's a tech team group that might be able to help you out a bit more or at least fix the issue

It happened to me a few times so now I just don't log out.

Like cleverlymadeup said go and tell the tech team and maybe they can fix the problem.
