I really love writing reviews, and being the kind of hopeless cretin that loves attention I actually want people to read them.

When do you think the forums are at their busiest? I've always thought the best time to post anything in the User Review section is Wednesday (what I like to call the Yahtzee Effect)... what are your thoughts? Any tips for me and my fellow reviewers?

Not on Wednesdays, anyways.

The servers get so full, it's hard to get on it.
I would say Friday or Saturday.
Because that's the days most people are home
Saturday certainly, but Fridays I find are the quietest, next to Tuesdays of course.

Besides, if the servers are busy that means the site is busy, and I'm cool with that lol

OT: Not sure what day but probably some when in the evening which in America is about 8 or 9pm and here in Blighty is about 1am. I'd pick Thursday as the best day to post them.

But if you can't get on the server, you can't see the review, can you?
True, but lots of people are going to be on anyway... i just find that out of all the days you get the most views on wednesdays, but it's certainly a valid point.

What about sunday? Lots of people with nothing to do... unfortunately I'm one of the suckers that works that day so I don't know how busy it is.

I sort of just post them when I am done. Just like when I post on any other forum section. I am pretty sure regardless of the time of day, someone would read and comment.

Usually Furburt, he reads everything.

Go into the user reviews section. Look at the number of posts for most of the threads, and then look at the number of views.

You'll notice that the number of views is much higher. Even if nobody replies, tons of people are probably looking at your review. The reason they don't reply is because it's hard to comment on reviews. I find it difficult to give feedback when I myself am not a (decent) reviewer, so I imagine other people have a similar problem.

My point is that it doesn't really matter when you post your review. No matter what it will always get many views and a handful of comments. That is unless you're a popular poster or you are reviewing a game that many people are interested in.

User Reviews doesn't have a single date where the traffic is higher or lower. Considering the User Reviews still has a relatively high shelf-life, you're just best posting it whenever. Early morning for you will usually yield the Australian and European posters. Later at night you pick Americans but lose Australians. So it depends on time of day. Really, it doesn't matter when, just that it's posted.

If it's liked, it'll keep getting bumped so you'll get continual face time. Wednesday is no better than any other day, honestly.

Although the current problems with the site are making it difficult all the time really.

OP: Reviews are never dead, there's always a chance some nice person will come along and necro them. So don't worry about it too much.
lol speaking of which, my new one is up now [/shameless self advertising]

This is all great stuff... there are days I try to avoid posting, but the general consensus is that any day is good.

I think a few of mine have failed epically, and now im just making excuses lol
