So, do you guys think names like 'Player_Name" or "PlayerName" look better. Also do you guys disdain the use of numbers? Ive never found a problem with it but some people seem to dislike it.

My name is beautiful, like a proper title. I prefer no underscore if I can't use " ". So then I just use "VDNKh" as my username.

Numbers... as long at it's not XxXs0MkeW33d4L1fe420xXx or anything with a 69 then I'm okay.

Well I prefer the "NewWordWithBigLetter" instead of having "_" between words.
Numbers depend, not any I4r3H4xX0R stuff but if you have a reason like Steven8 (Steve Gerrard who is Liverpool captain and has the number8) then I don't mind.

Underscores or any unneeded symbol in the middle of a name that amounts to nothing are retarded to me.

Oh, and if you have a "3" in place of an "e" or some other internet language thing you can fuck right off.

I don't mind the _'s, most people use it when a space is unacceptable so it's reasonable enough, the really covulated names however...
I just see the user as childish and undependable.

I don't really mind what people choose to set as their usernames. I have a friend who always calls himself 'Da Pie Lord'. Sure, it may look ugly, and I reserve the right to mispronounce it horrifically, but it's your username.
Also, any other option would be hypocritical of me, seeing as I have had some pretty awful usernames in the past.

I prefer simple names without numbers or special symbols, it looks much more clean and mature.

Provided of course that it's not just a dumb name like IRapeYou...

Numbers, Xx---xX and stupid capitalisations I hate. If it's just a two word name then Player_Name looks fine. But then my username is structured PlayerName so what the hell do I know? :D

I like the freedom of the Internet that people can pick their own names but I generally prefer names that doesn't contain numbers or symbols, or deliberately misspelt words. Lack of capitalisation annoys me too. I guess I'm a fan of traditional style names.

I'm not keen on usernames that have peoples birth years on the end. I prefer it when people are imaginative.

Overall though, I like all usernames! The more creative the better. :D

Player_Name or PlayerName, either is cool with me. I use the underscore because my spam e-mail is the same as my username, and you can't have spaces in an e-mail address. Just keeping the underscore across accounts that use the same name makes it easier to remember, but it's a personal choice.

As for numbers, putting one at the end because the username you wanted was taken by someone who probably doesn't even use their account anymore is one thing. The xXxlookatmeI'mstraightedgexXx thing is something else. Although I think if I were a troll I'd have a new sock puppet name now; that was supposed to be a generic example, but I kind of like the joke behind it.

Anything that starts with x and ends with x is a no go.
A massive amount of numbers at the end of the username will spark a bit of an annoyance.
Anything that involves words like "Dark, scythe, venom, slayer, killer, epic, quickscope, stuff related to my mom, etc." is an absolute NO!
The one exception: if the entire name is something along the lines of "your mom" and it's an FPS, it's a good choice. "You were killed by your mom" never gets old.

Hey, hey, hey! What's with the mods changing avatars all at the same time. And why they so scary? Halloween or something?

You, your avatar looks weirdly violent and I guess banbloodthirsty.

And you! I saw your avatar, recognised what it is, and scrolled up. Then I quickly checked but it's only JPEG. I am probably giving you ideas now...

OT: I don't like the "pseudo-l337" avatars, like xXxhaxxorzxXx and similar. Or birthdays/years or actually personal information embedded there (easily identifiable, at least) - I've even seen people use their phone number...both as part of the username and as their username... Oh and alternating capitalisation is annoying. Yeah, I know, but it's only four letters, so it doesn't count.

Depends on the name. I add the 3 purposely, but prefer The Check Mark sometimes. Underscored don't really bother me if I have to use them and need to, but never with CheckD3.

Numbers, as long as not in excess, are fine. Sometimes you use them because of habit on another place, or whatnot. But if it's REQUIRED to have more than one, you should find a more original username, and stop being XFan/XLover/ect#############

I prefer simple, grammatically correct names :p

By the way OP's user name makes me think more of this guy [http://boldspud.com/assets/2010/03/Bebop-Cartoon-Old.gif] than Spike XD

I agree with the majority of the posters. Numbers, those weird "xxxx" things and purposeful, horribly improper spelling annoy me.

When it comes to PlayerName or Player Name I prefer the latter because I think it looks neater.

Hey! The Zeroes give me swag!
[sub][sub][sub] I totally didn't just reuse my Xbox live username that needed zeros in order to work[/sub][/sub][/sub]

OT: As long as I can say the name in "word form" without having to just read off the symbols, then I'm generally cool with most names. Content matters, but that's getting into more aesthetic detail than I care to ramble incoherently on about explain

I guess my username is pretty clear on where my opinions lie.
Not a fan of numbers in usernames, when it's just random or your birthyear. I've done it myself though with my PS3 and 360 accounts, just to get my DanielBrown there.
