Mine came from "Captain Fantastico's Zomborrific Adventure: With Sexy Results", the awesomest title ever created. Unfortunately, it was too long to be used as a username, so it was shortened.

Roast Beefy McWeefy is the name the speaker used in a parody-type thing of Harry Potter for Harry's cousin Dudley. It's a recording you play over the first Harry Potter Movie, and I found it quite hilarious.
It's also my Xbox Live Gamertag.

I was fighting some one at a tourney once. He also had a cool name so I stole it and changed one of the words to "Minty." That still wasn't good enough, so I just made something random up off the top of my head. And henceforth MintyFreshBreathGuy was born, and as a secondary name in case this is too long, I also use MintyTrooper.

It's a nickname i picked up at a restaurant I used to cook at. They put nicknames on the nametags instead of real names.

The fact that my first name is Brian, my last name starts with the letter J, and because I'm unique, hence the word The.

Also a reference to the awesome pro wrestler The Brian Kendrick

Mine comes mainly from two things.

One, I'm in a wheelchair, and I wanted to show I'm not that uptight about it. Why not take a lighthearted spin on the topic?

Second (which was a result of number one in some respects), the name was a result of a joke. In History class, we were studying the (I think it was the) 30's, discussing what they would do to pass the time. The radio was extremely popular around that time, so I mentioned they should've played a few rounds of musical wheelchairs.

It stands for things, terrible things. Revealing them here would only cause all of your heads to implode.

I wrote this story once, and one of the characters was named Vincent the Shadow King. The story wasn't very good, really, and the only reason I still use it is because its easy for me to remember.

Mine's a pseudonym I used to put on my short films in high school and college (over 6 years ago), and it's got a long and boring story behind it... here goes:

Essentially, it comes from a background character mentioned in my favorite Lovecraft story "In the Walls of Eryx" along with a complete misunderstanding of the Japanese language.
My name is Matthew, en espanol Mateo, francais Matthieu, and so on and so forth. While pondering one day, "I wonder what my name would be in Japanese?" I found myself watching an old episode of Digimon, wherein one of the lead characters' english name is Mat, derived by abbreviating his Japanese name "Yamatomo". At this, I thought, "A-Ha!" and remembered the name "Matsugawa" from the Eryx story. Of course, I know now that my name is "Matto" in Japanese and it's not even really a translation, it's a phonetic re-interpretation because Japanese and Hebrew have no past relationship as languages whatsoever. And yes, I know I'm 6'4", occidental, brown-haired, and blue-eyed and therefore not remotely even mistakable for Japanese-looking, but my affinity for asian film caused me to use the name on my video works.

Appendix: My other frequently used username is recorder_manta, which is basically my self-indulgent dream of what my role and alias would be were I part of the Foxhound program. Recorder refers to my avid interest in most anything that has a 'record' button.

Weatherfn has been my name since forever. It was supposed to be Weather Fan, from when I wanted to be a meteorologist, but back when I came up with my name, you could only have 9 letters. Also, I like it since it has no numbers in it.

I was un-original
Still, dude, you get serious points for being the first. That's actually got an originality all its own. There's probably about 50 guys on Gamefaqs or Gamespot with names like "companioncube47" or "CompanionCubeXXX" or something along those lines.
