Using a laptop as a computer screen

Hey Escapists, im at my grandmas for the weekend, she has a tv that doesnt have an hdmi slot so i cant play my ps3. My laptop has the slot i need, is there any way i can use my laptop as a tv screen so i can play?

Why don't you just try it. If the laptop has a hdmi it means i can support hdmi blue ray players so i don't see your ps3 can't go in there. Just plug it and see if it works. You get tv screens that work as a computer screen i can't see why it won't work the other way round.

I'm pretty sure you can't do that, since you'd just be sending a signal into the graphics card and not the screen.

Maybe some card/mobo configurations let you do it, but I've never heard of that being the case.
