About time! [http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/hr/content_display/news/e3i1f048e311710f2fbd98c7b8bdcd3fb63]

Excerpt:

Uwe Boll, the German director the critics love to hate, will return to low-budget filmmaking now that his latest and biggest production, the $70 million fantasy epic "In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale," bombed at the boxoffice.

The adaptation of the hit video game, which stars Jason Statham, Ron Perlman and Burt Reynolds, delivered just $3 million over the weekend, marking the third flop in a row for Boll, whose "BloodRayne" and "Alone in the Dark" also failed to deliver theatrically.

Mweheheheh. Heheheheheh... ha-HA-HAhahahahahaha! *clap of thunder*

Damn, that's music to my ears. No longer can the Film Weevil bore into game franchises and suck the juices out of 'em.

Funny how he stops getting big budget movies as soon as that German tax loophole closed.

I now realize that it might be a bad idea to remain atheistic. Apparently, there is a God.

The only bad part about this is jason statham had to be involved. I know he does B movies most of the time, but still, sucks for him.

Also, does anyone even know how the hell you pronunce "uwe"?

Germans think Hasslhoff is a good singer, so how could anyone trust Herr Boll's artistic vision?

Brilliant example of sterotyped thinking.

"Uwe Boll - The german answer to Ed Wood." Love it.

Why the hell did you necro an 18 month old thread?
Check out her profile, she's German, she may have been incensed by the stereotyping and insult of her Mother Land.

And anyway she's new and its not like its the worse infraction available. At least it wasn't a rickroll

I still wonder why companies let him MAKE movies with/about their games. They should all do like Blizzard did: tell him they want proper directors to work on such movies.

Either:
'oo-vey'
or
'oo-vuh'

Depending on who's saying it, even the man himself seems to flit between the two.

Anyway, why do I have the horrible feeling this is merely a setback to him rather than terminal career decline...
