Have you ever played through a video game and notice a goof, glitch, or mess up? Now I'm not talking about how you found it on youtube or some site, played the game to check and see if it's legit, and noticed it. But I'm talking about a goof that you had no assistance in noticing.

My personal response- I realize a mess up Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. It was on the mission: Safehouse. When Caption Price fires his pistol at Al-Asad's guards after he flashed them. Price is firing a Colt .45 or M1911 .45. BUT the sound effect are that of a Dessert Eagle.

Well, I bought Dark Sector day one (Stupid me) and I got to the first battle against the spider-tank thingy. I remembered seeing a gameplay video of you climbing into it to use it so I tried getting behind it... and succeeded. Obviously that wasn't supposed to happen as there was no option to jack it and I was partially inside it. It was also blindly spinning around while I stuck behind it. Oh, the amusement.

Just yesterday I beat Crysis, and at the part where the ship gets attacked and I was running to get on the deck for a fight, I found a Scar assault rifle floating just above a shelf (or something) perfectly level and firing non stop into a wall just in front of it. It stopped when I collected it for ammo :)

I once broke Pokemon Blue, and had to restart. I can't remember how I did it though. I know it had nothing to do with MissingNo. though. (Only used MissingNo. in Red version.)

Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth was definitely a "diamond in the rough" (Bethesda was involved, so I suppose bugs are expected), but I still remember one particular bug. One of the levels had an outdoor section with a coal chute leading out of a building. In the spirit of exploration, I jumped onto the chute to see if anything was behind/above it- and was catapulted into the stratosphere, well outside the level and deep into the skybox. Then I died, either of asphyxiation or burning up in the atmosphere.

When I went back from the nearest save point and tried to duplicate the feat, nothing happened. Meh. Jack Walters could've been the first man in space!

That's actually not a coding error.

If you get far enough into the game, you meet a man who tells you to go and meet his good friend who is named "Error"
He then gives you... something.
His name seriously was "Error".

On Topic: Whenever I use Telekinesis in Oblivion for 360, it always screws up the File where the text will sometimes turn red, as well as making objects temporarily unusable.
I suppose that would count.

The ragdoll physics in Wolfenstein (newest one) The number of times, nazi's I'd just blown up ended up stuck in walls or one time a guy was shouting at me and trying to fire at me but was hanging upside down by one leg from a door. Also I shot a guard out of a guard tower in that game and his arm stayed attatched to the gun at the top whilst he fell, making his arm about 30 feet long and his body spazzing out on the floor.

The only one I can think of off the top of my head is in Super Paper Mario. I somehow started swimming through the air. I have no idea how it happened, but my sister accidentally did the same thing at one point.

I discovered the glitch in Pokemon Blue that lets you walk through walls, as abused in this tool-assisted speedrun [http://tasvideos.org/950M.html]. To give credit where it's due, I discovered walking through walls, and Hanzou discovered how to use it to skip through half of the game. I also discovered the save corruption glitch that made this 2-minute run of Pokemon Yellow [http://tasvideos.org/1123M.html] possible. Again, I can't take all of the credit, as it was Gia who discovered how to use this glitch to basically turn the items menu into a hex editor. But I think I win the thread, since I've managed (without Sharking) to break Pokemon more thoroughly than all but 10 or so people on the planet.

Also, I discovered a glitch in Portal that reliably crashes my Xbox 360. Just fire a portal into the low ceiling, another one on a side wall, and jump into the ceiling one after the final boss fight. My Pokemon exploits are easily cooler, though.

Perfect Dark Zero's "Dancing Corpse Syndrome". While this is mostly rare, there are moments where dead bodies will start bouncing around, even so much as almost dancing across a room with arms flailing.

Quite hilarious to see, it is.

I remember Halo 1 and 2 had a goof.

In the first Halo, Captain Keyes always had this weird opening at the end of his lips. It turns out thats where the pipe he smoked in the beginning went, and it turns out they never were able to fix that.

And in Halo 2. When Guilty Spark talked the way he glowed never match his voice, so it looks like hes glowing randomly when he should normally glow when he talks.

It is now possible to skywalk in every level of Team Fortress 2 on the Xbox!

Let's not forget the triple armed Spy either.

Trolls arms stretching in doorways of Oblivion. Oh the hours of slightly disgusting amusement. That and floating items in Borderlands O' PLENTY.

Just found one with my friend yesterday when playing co-op on Dawn of the Dragon. We walked out of the cave where you save Meadow and walk onto a black plane that had forgotten to load.
