Valentines day question.

As we all know Valentines Day is approaching fast *shivers* and I need some advice. So I met this girl the other day that I really like and the few times we have hung out, we have gotten along really well. We haven't been on any official dates yet nor has anything romantic happened between us, but if all goes well in the next week then I'm thinking I'll ask her out on a date on Valentines day.
Now I have never actually celebrated Valentines Day before, much less actually gone on a date, and so I would like some advice on where to take her for the date, if I should give her any kind of gifts and in general what a Valentines Day date should involve.

Give her a single rose, and take her somewhere nice for dinner. After that, tell her you had a lot of fun and would love to keep seeing her. Thats pretty much it. If you have some place cool to go to instead of taking her out to eat, then go ahead with that.

Don't drag the date on though, don't want to wear out your welcome.

There's not one guarunteed good place, but what's best is doing something you both enjoy.

And make sure wherever you go won't be too crowded. The worst way to spend a date is waiting in a line.

Out for dinner is probably your best option. I don't recommend the cinema, it's not really appropriate for a first date.
