I played a tiny bit of Valkyria Profile. I returned it for store credit the next day.

Only tangentially related but it always bothers me when people refer to the distributor over the developer. Games such as Valkyrie Profile and Star Ocean were produced by Tri-Ace. Admittedly it's probably in there best interest to put Square more front and center because they are more well known, but it still bothers me.

Are you talking about Valkyria Chronicles or Valkyrie Profile? Because there's a huge freaking difference.

That being said, I'm ecstatic about a Valkyrie Profile sequel. In fact, I may need a change of pants.
The DS one. So dull.

Covenant of the Plume?
One: that's not the original VP
Two: it was NOT dull!

Valkyrie Profile was an RPG released on the Playstation and on the PSP I think. You can't buy the original Playstation game for less than $100 now...it's ridiculous, but rightfully so. The game kicks some major ass.
Gah, I remember I had sold my VP when I finished it and then later on it was going for hundreds on eBay ><;

Ummm...

Didn't we, already, HAVE a Valkyrie Pofile sequel?
Like, the Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria sitting on my shelf?

Anyway, I liked both the original and Silmeria, but not enough to want a third in the series.

Never even bothered with the DS title and the PSP 'Lenneth' remake.

Hey Squenix, instead of doing a sequel to a mediocre series and yet ANOTHER compilation of old 8/16-bit jRPG's...
How 'bout a new one in the Chrono series instead?

Just sayin', you know...

Wait, so is this another sequel or just Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria ported from PS2 to 360? Silmeria wasn't nearly as good as the original in my opinion (re-played the first a month before it, so this isn't a nostalgia-based opinion) and wouldn't care enough to have it on 360. However, if this is an entirely new game in the style of the original, I'm definitely getting it.

Also, I hope they fixed the encounter issue on BoF2 for the port. Dear lord, there were way too many random encounters. Knew three other people who had the game and I was the only one who finished it, because they all got fed up with the millions of fights required to walk from one town to the next.

VP3: Hrist would be three-quarters awesome and 28% fucking awesome.

Kinda makes me want to play another run-through of VP and VP2.

To those of you complaining about 360 exclusivity: Deal with it. Whining will get you nowhere.
