Sounds great. Episode 3 first. Then we can talk expanding into new areas.

The title is a bit misleading.
It implies that Valve knows how they would implement Mobile Steam features, when in all truth they're still trying to figure out how the hell they would do it in the first place.

EDIT: Perhaps "Valve Would Like to Join Mobile Market" would be a better fit.
Just my two cents.

Aside from friends/chat I think some games would be good, like strategy, family or maybe some indie games.
Off-Topic: Nice display pic :D I'm listening to him atm! ^_^

On Topic: Admitidly there'd be lots of negotiaions and bypassing, but this could be one of the best apps for Andriod, as the other Steam apps are terrible.

Honestly? I wouldn't be too surprised if they followed Blizzard in producing a Steam Community app.

I was just thinking about this earlier... I missed the Mass Effect sale because I was away from my computer and thought it would be awesome if I could have Steam on my phone so I could buy games and make changes to my Steam account anywhere I want. Being able to chat using Steam chat would be awesome too.

I want a escapist app as well :(

Here here! obviously making apps aren't the simplest undertaking, but it would be real nice to get Escapist in a nice tidy package, Browsing with android is good, but large websites are difficult on phones.

I read the topic as "Valve Considering Mobile Steam Fortress" so I was a bit disappointed when I clicked it. Otherwise, sure, mobile features will be awesome addition to steam.
GabeN and his Giant Floating Steam Fortress? That literally sounds like the best Steam-punk villain idea, of all time!

OT: Can modern tablets like the iPad2 and those Samsung Android pads handle Source? If so: "Dear Valve, Release a retail Source SDK for PCs (and Tablets) already. It will lead to the greatest boom in indie development in gaming history. And Steam (and mobile Steam) can be at the centre of it. Think about it?"

Could be interesting a steam app on my android phone will be one step closer to steam on linux in my book. Though beyond acessing the store and features vI cannot see steam doing much for mobiles unless there is giant leap in phone hardware in next yesr or so.

I would quite like to see a steam app on android considering i only really chat on steam and msn, and i sign into msn all the time on the go, i wouldn't mind some games from them either considering i have a phone which has pretty decent horsepower now =3 (xperia arc goodness *drools on phones*).
