Just got a mental image of me talking to my hypothetical grandchildren in the future.

Whats that son? The game you have been waiting for has been delayed by a week? thats nothing compared to what we had to deal with back in 2010.... Valve delayed Half life episode 3 for 8 years (yeah I know its not that long but thats when it will probably come out lol)

Parents have a nasty habit of saying things were hard in their day whilst also saying things were good i.e. no crime.... yeah i know figure that out... its an annoying tradition I will continue if I have kids of my own, got to get back at them somehow :)

Rather have it late and polished to a glistening shine then, not. cough/Obsidian\cough
I'm sorry, couldn't hear you over Fallout: New Vegas. Lemme know when the Perpetual Lateness Brigade finishes Half Life 2: Episode 3, would ya?
falloutNV has encountered a problem and needs to close

I'd care, except I've never been a huge fan of Valve anyway. Never cared for Half-Life's style of gameplay, and while Portal was brilliant, I don't feel a huge urge to return to it.

It is pretty funny that a two month delay is their shortest delay in over ten years of game development.

I blame Stephen Merchant.
YEAH, he spends too much time making fun of Karl Pilkington! Let's complain!

Anyone else here watch the Ricky Gervais Show? (seriously hopes so) :3

Yes, it's another two months of waiting, but I'd rather have a game released that is complete than a game that was two months from completion.

I mean, look at Fallout: New Vegas; what could they have gotten done had they received an extra two months on that project?

I like the idea that Valve don't even take their release dates seriously anymore.

"Oop! Our game's delayed! Ah well! Could be worse! Could have a nother Ep3 on our hands! Woop woop!"

XD

Thanks Valve. That gives us hope for the future.
They don't operate on release dates. Only release suggestions.

Just in case you don't know he voices a helpful but odd robot in the game. So yay!

I knew. It's something like Wheatley, right?

"We're out of beta, we're releasing on time" is the most ironic lyric in the history of music.
