So last night I watched an episode of south park with Twilight inspired Vampire kids. Now I'm not making an attack on Twilight but do kids in America really do this cause there are none in Ireland.

No, it's basically South Parks attack on emo kids... There are no Vampire kids and if so, i'd be on the hunt right now.

I think there is a vampire subculture, but it isn't very widely spread in America. I think the southpark episode was just mocking subcultures for being "different" in the exact same way.

I think it was more making fun of gothic suddenly being the new black among all the sixteen year-olds.

In my area no, but I have heard tales from my suburban friends about them.
He said they were all over the place and really annoying.

No it isn't, as the Vamp kids in the episode are a fad, while goth kids are always gothi kids through out several seasons. It was just ripping on emos and they fucking deserve it.

I think they are just a joke on emo being a goth rip. That or ye know the lot that hang around Temple Bar and the Central Bank in Dublin? I think it's their version of that. :)

I think you've mistaken this episode with the one where Stan gets dumped and joins the goth's.
The vamp kids episode is mainly about goth's getting pissed that there lifestyle is being taken over by the popular masses.

It's best to not bother. These kind of people just want attention, and making them feel like they're "on the grim edge of society, hunted by many, trusted by few," or whatever crap it is they want vampires to look like is only making them feel good. Spreading ideas like this only helps one of the images they want to have.

Ignore it. If they really begin to bother you and one possibly gets into your face, don't hold back. They'll leave you alone and chances are the police officer will believe you felt threatened or something like that. Not sure how legal it is, but you probably won't get in much trouble.

There was a group of 14 year old girls ages ago in West Edmonton mall that were "vampires". One of them, I will assume the leader, actually filed down her canines till they were pointy. I believe she ended up killing someone though, and now resides in juvey.

No, at least not where I live. The episode was poking fun at emos and fads.
Note- We also are not over run with Peruvian FluTE Bands.

No, they don't but, Hot Topic does make kids dress a lot like what you saw on South Park. Just remember, Hot Topic is EVIL! Where I live, if people like you, then you probably shop at Urban Outfitters, The Closet or Surf Side (where I buy my cloths).

Mmmm.. I'm in the 3rd largest city in IL, and there's nothing here, so the idiot kids who watch too many movies and read too many books start at the local hot topic to be:
-emos
-goths
-sceners
-"vampires"
-screamo wanna-bes
-brootals
-halloweencores
-those that get the occasional black metal knight supplies

then as they dedicate themselves to such stupid philosophies that were developed by a marketing company or some bisexual female author that makes their 'evil characters belonging to the devil' more feminine looking than the newest cast of Final Fantasy, the fans go online and spend small fortunes to look absolutely rediculous.. like the people that spend hundreds of bucks for perscription steampunk goggles
