Ah, the perils of not reading the last word in a given sentence. Apologies! Got all excited by the first three, the fourth seemed a given.

Sadly I have no strong opinions on Redemption, and retire hanging my head in shame...

I didn't like it then, wouldn't like it now. At the time the games graphics were mind blowing "OMG the mouths are moving when they talk!" but the gameplay was still just simple hack & slash (although with party members) and the enemies didn't suit the games mood. If it's such a secret society, why am I mowing down legions of vampires in the middle of the street? The setting and the gameplay just didn't mesh and that threw me off. Plot was basic and the only thing that kept its head above water was the source material it was based off of. Good cinematics though, I still remember those.

Personally I found Bloodlines to be a much, much better use of the Vampire: Masquerade setting and a much better game overall as well. But that's just me.

That game.... lord.

It had so much potential. The storyteller system for multiplayer was an interesting idea, but it didn't work, and you usually just had a deathmatch running around (plus god help you if your opponent had maxxed out feeding.

The single player was straightforward. Move through a three story building full of vampires, get a cutscene, repeat. The love story that they had going on completely failed to touch me. The main character only actually experiences being a vampire for about a week (the rest of the game is spent under some rubble) and yet he ends up with most of his skills maxed. Most of the skills themselves were fairly poorly implemented, and I felt the combat was especially uninspired.

That said, the graphics were great and it wasn't a bad first try. They had to get a lot wrong to know what to do right with Bloodlines.
