Vanquish; Rated M for Manly?

Can anyone figure out why Vanquish is rated M? Yes, it says 'Language' and 'Gore' on the box, but...

99% of the enemies in the game are robots. Humanoid robots, but there is no possible way you could get them confused with humans. Also, they transform into giant mechs with shotgun tails. in case you missed the 'not human' part.

For language...the very worst line I think I heard in the game was 'Let's clear these fuckers out!' I could seriously count the number of times I've heard the word 'fuck' on one hand, too.

So...yeah. Why is this rated M?

I haven't played the game, but I've seen the intro video on Youtube, that's probably the main reason for the M-rating. It's pretty disturbing, if you ask me.

I see. I'd actually skipped the intro because I wanted to get to the boosting around and shooting people in the face phase, so I was somewhat disappointed when I found out I would be boosting around and shooting robots in the face...until the first boss, at least. Yeah, I guess I can see where the inhabitants of San Fransisco popping like cherries might be disturbing. If only you got to do that in the game...sigh.

That seems rather...odd. That makes my college rather extremely explicit. I wonder if you can sue for that.

Is that why in CoD: Black Ops, the first time "Fuck" was uttered by Mason, it wasn't censored in the subtitles, but the second time it was uttered by the interrogator, it was censored (in subtitles)?

CoD: Black Ops is rated M, though? Why would they worry about getting explicit language added to their list if it's not already on there? o.o;
