I think peeps are just a little worried that a good comic could go the way of that other one... I was never a fan of the other one... but I was around for the backlash, not pretty.

Anyways, I think thats a load of old bollocks. This comics still on topic, you know video games and I like abit of character development, even in my funnies. Erin takes time out of her developement to focus on current topics e.g. Mass Effect and then gets back to work on crazy brain damage stories, s'all gooood.

I miss it all being based about the games. The silliness of having Kratos jump in at the end of the comic isn't as funny if Kratos was killing Sonic or something wacky like that. My point wasn't that the comic was off-topic or that character development is bad, where did you get that in my post? My point was that it is trying to be too serious to grab a new audience into it or be artsie or something else. Heavy handed emotional crap is alright every now and then, but thats all its been for about four comics, and it really isn't that attachable due to things like pants-less or Shirtless fight scenes.

If your going to be serious about it, make it serious. Don't half-ass it.

What I mean't to say was that its only really one arc, the comics been going on for awhile now and a hand full of chapters isn't much, especially when its still partly on topic.

I don't agree with what you said about half-assing it though, its still a comedy based comic, it delivers its message via the lolz and to remove that completely would be dumb. That would be like taking the action out of Jurassic Park (the games would be the Dinosaurs in this sense). It would just be a bunch of guys driving round a big zoo and every now and then they'd catch a glimpse of a dinosaur, it would just be kind of boring.

Humor is subjective, therefore there is always something funny for everyone. The story-arc is obviously meant to be serious, and according to this comment section, that is exactly what it is. Once again, if your going to make it a serious arc then make it serious, don't throw in pantless fighting into a movie like Insidious.

Im not saying its not mean't to be taken serious. What im saying is it doesn't harm the message. Look at Futurama, it has some of my favourite emotional scenes, yet it never deviated from the funnies for more then 5 mins. Jurassic Bark, The Sting, Lethal Inspection (to use the most popular) are all still really funny yet the emotional scenes are still hard hitting. You can argue the scenes in those are either funny OR serious but I personally don't agree with that either. Look at the scene with Leela reuniting with her parents, they start crying, sad music plays, it starts raining, its nice until you realise its raining due to Bender pouring nuclear waste all over them. Sorry for using such an over used example, I just think its a really good one.

I personally don't think this ruins the experience but if you do fair play.
