replacing the real-world drugs with fictional, but functionally identical, counterparts.
RGAHRAHRH!

No! BAD MAL! The only "Drug" they changed in Fallout 3 was Morphine, changed to Med-X. Mentats, Buffout, Jet, those are all integral parts of the Fallout Universe, there from the first game.

Morphine, by all reports the catalyst for the OFLC's decision on Fallout 3, also figures prominently in Velvet Assassin [http://www.velvetassassin.com/] as a power-up that slows down the gameplay and allows the player to perform more devastating attacks while in "morphine mode."
"Devestating attacks"...in a stealth game......They really have no idea what they're making, do they?

And artistic integrity got shot in the calves at the nightie shots.
Honestly, I have no idea what they're trying to do here.
The morphine is pretty integral and what they've said above actually makes perfect sense in the context of the game. I saw it at E3 last summer and there's really not much way they could remove the morphine without really crapping up the setting of the game.

Also, this is based loosely on a real British operative from WWII. Dunno if the character's appearance was pulled from her, too.

What nightie shots?

This nightie shot:

And the game is taking place in the heroine's memory as she lays gravely injured in a hospital. According to what's been revealed thus far, "morphine mode" is essentially the way a real-world morphine injection affects her memories as she re-lives them. She hits a nasty memory, her body reacts badly, a nurse gives her an injection to calm her down and as a result, she's given some form of enhanced power in her dream state. It's kinda weird, but I don't think it's necessarily a write-off at this point.

Forgive my cynicism but trying to be artistically integral fell over and couldn't get up again when it tried to be shoe horn real world drug affects as some honest moral crux and if manifest as "oh-hoo-bloody-ray", bullet time...

You and every other wannabe since the Matrix was cool. -_-

They appear to be trying to challenge Bayonetta for the title of stupidest and most exploitative new series of 2009.
Ooh, that's going to be a doozy. I was actually quite looking forward to this game after I heard that they were going to show how Nazi Germany affected the average European Joe, but I lost the enthusiasm after I heard about the whole nightie thing.

I have a question. Who exactly gives a shit if OFLC doesn't rate the damn thing? Are there market regulations that state if it isn't rated they aren't going to sell it? Someone please explain this to me, I've tried their site and it doesn't seem much use for as much as I can be arsed to search it. Also quote me so I know you answered. Thank you.
