Vent help

I keep getting an error saying

"failed to open input device. Another program might have opened it rc= -10"

anyone know whats wrong with it or can help me. Also it keeps saying my usb is taking up to much space but my headset is not usb its the plugs in the back of the computer. I am using window xp its a logictech headset if you need more specs to help me just ask. Your help would be much apprecaited

Did all the input device for vent and for normal nothings there and i changed my spec for vent to match other peoples on various settings nothing

You should try changing to whatever your mic is called.

Can you hear people talk at all?

Yeah its not other people thats the problem its me. I can't talk even when i press whatever button i assign to be able to speak never turns green nothing.
