Yesterday my friend came around and told me something about Verizon that frightens me. Apparently, according to him, Verizon and a lot of other Big internet providers are going to start a new policy soon. If you don't agree to it you get Disconnected from the net until you do. This policy allows them to monitor all your online activity and if you do something THEY consider illegal bring action against you. So if you use a torrent program even if you never downloaded anything pirated. They can still be like 'oh well you COULD'. And sue/whatever the law lets them do to you.
Now. I'm skeptical about this, since
A. They'd have access to our private information which is waaaay beyond illegal.
B. I think many people would rather switch to a local provider then agree to this shit.
And C. This is seriously fucken stupid and if it turns out to be true their's gonna be a shitstorm heading their way.
My friend told me this was supposed to come around around June, July. I'm wondering if anyone else has heard about this. Or has proof that it is/isn't going to happen.
Captcha: Double-cross.....Okay....skynet is real!!
