Today I came across something that you (or at least, I) don't see everyday. A PSOne (Pal) with like 13 games! For 5 bucks! Obviously I couldn't turn that down, so I bought it. Okay, so most of the games I got are shite, but there are a few I'm interested in. List as follows:

- Tenchu 1 & 2
- Bushido Blade
- Final Fantasy VIII (I already own this, but I love it so much I'm prepared to own it twice)
- Dead Or Alive
- Resident Evil 3: Nemesis
- Syphon Filter 2
- Tomb Raider
- Jersey Devil
- Lemmings 3D (uhhh)
- Colony Wars Red Sun
- Soulblade
- Assault Rigs
- Tom Clancey's Rainbow Six
- And a bunch of demo discs

As a N64 gamer back in the day, and one who only had the good PS1 games (you know, Final Fantasy etc)(that's when we got the PS2), I am a little surprised how much utter shit the PSX produced. Assault Rigs, for example, is one of the worst games I have ever played, to the point of it turning full circle and becoming good again. Also, I played like the first level of Tomb Raider, and I don't see what all the fuss is about. Maybe cause I wasn't there at the time.. It also had the cases for Tomb Raider 2 and GTA, but the discs weren't in there.

Anyway, I bought this cause of FFVIII, Resident Evil and Bushido Blade (I heard it was good. It's alright). Jersey Devil is just as bad as it sounds, Soulblade is a Tekken rip-off, Colony Wars is a Star Wars rip-off, Rainbow Six is Tom Clancey's Doom blahh blahh blahh.

I think it was worth it just for the ones I wanted and the console itself.

Do you guys think so? Also, have any of you played these games? They are.. pretty bad, even considering the age of them.

I think it was a great purchase. I enjoyed RE3 and Syphon Filter back in the day. I would have bought this in a heartbeat

Hot. Damn.
You need to jump on this deal.
Buy "The Legend of Dragoon".
NOAW!
I plan on chipping the console (or something) so I can import the RPGs which were not released in PAL, and i think that one is one of them.

Oh, and I did buy it.

That was a wise purchase on your part. Sure some of those games blow, but for the good games there $5 is a bargain. Also there was one game I used to have on my PS1 which I have now lost, which was Rogue Trip : Vacation 2012. That was an awesome game *goes to eBay*

5 bucks is practically nothing considering you got a console with a bunch of games, even if it's an older one.
Actually it could be "especially since it's an older one", depending on the PS's current availability.

Yeahh I thought that too. In fact, just yesterday I was looking on ebay for A PSX so I could import games. Infact, I would love to have a SNES, if only just to play Super Metroid.

Syphon Filter 2 was awful. But the first one was a gem that was slightly overshadowed by MGS1. And the first two Twisted Metal games were great also.

But really, the PSOne is essentially the Atari 2600 of 3D gaming. The first generation is one of those things I prefer to keep safely in memory. I put most of the classic PSOne games that I loved so much in the same place I keep Mr. Do and COMBAT and River Raid.

But hey, since you never got to play those games I hope you have a blast getting caught up on one of modern gaming's most exciting eras. :)

Yeahh the only PS1 ones I played heavily are the Final Fantasy's and Star Ocean (oh, and also Alundra and Kartia, if anyone knows them)(no seriously, Kartia, one of the best JSRPG (does that accronym even exist) ever! but I think i lost it

My Gamestop was having a 'secret' sale the week FFXIII (Which I do own) and Battlefield Bad Company 2 came out. Everyone was trading in Mass Effect 2 and other big games because they had a trade-in special thing. I got Mass Effect 2 for $30, Perfect Dark Zero (special edition) $5, and Bullet Witch for $10.

Man that.s pretty good, tho I would only go for Bullet Witch and Perfect Dark. I remember I got Kingdom Hearts 2 and FFXII for like $30 the week they came out cause of trade in deals. Unfortunately the value of them has faded away somewhat, cause back then you could trade in any old title, but now its specific new ones

I got KHII as well their for only $15. Thats what happens when a girl's broke and trades in every single PS1 game she had. (I only kept Spyro 1, SPiderman and the first Crash. But, hey, what can you do?) I had over 51 PS1 games too so...
