if he was weakened by kryptonite, probably. if not no, it has a less chance, but i'd say there still is a deffinate chance. of course, i'm just going by the comics logic, which i have barely read, so i wouldn't know shit anyway.

No, according to Bill Nye the Science Guy.

It is pure heat. It simply burns through stuff, so probably not. Also, it depends on which version of Supes you are talking aboot. One of the earlier versions could juggle planets, while DC animated Supes would get knocked back by a missile blast.

I feel like I've seen this discussion somewhere before. I was under the impression that it couldn't unless he was weakened significantly by kryptonite. He flew through the sun at one point or something and lightsabers are plasma so he'd be fine apparently. Not exactly a Superman fanboy.

Well... my guess is that the Lightsaber might separate Molecules by means other than slicing. If it uses some form of molecular separation then it might, seeing as that would have nothing to do with the toughness of the skin of Superman.

I dunno.

Like I said to the last version of this question: No, he'd just get knocked out for the rest of the episode then come back at the very end to kick your ass because you forgot he was knocked unconscious.

Yes. All it would take is for Superman to be on a planet that orbits a red sun. Under those circumstances, Superman has no powers. With no powers, they can be cut by a lightsaber, or even a common kitchen knife, very easily.

NOpe, would just go right through him like a flashlight, like what happened to Brock Sampson and the henchmen.

Sorry OT now I think the lightsaber would give superman a slight burn due to the sheer heat, nothing major but not a cut. Unless he was weakened by some sort of kryptonite (which is supermans kryptonite). [small] Im talking out of my ass can you tell? [/small]

I believe George Lucas has stated that Lightsabers can cut through any solid object. And though Superman is damn tough I think he can be cut by normal sharp objects if there is enough force behind them.
