Hi!
I don't know why I thought this would be a good place to come to for car advice, but there is such a diverse spectrum of knowledge here that I thought it would be an idea.
Ok, so running around the inside of each door in my car is some kind of soft rubber seal. I suppose its there to help keep the water out, which is handy in this rainy country of mine! In one of the doors, part of this seal has started to hang off, making it difficult to close the door without it getting trapped and hanging outside the car. I have resorted to taping in in place, closing the door, and not using it (thankfully it is one of the rear doors). Now, my question is - can I fix this myself by gluing it back into place with superglue? The thing is, I don't know if superglue will damage it and instead you need to use some kind of... special... car glue? That only a mechanic would have and charge me through the roof for applying?
I know this sounds like a stupid question, but I really really can't afford to be taking it to a garage to get it fixed, I just spent £300 on getting it MOT'd, having 2 of the engine coils replaced and a tyre replaced.
Also, if anyone wishes to hijack this thread for other car related questions, please feel free!
