So, I live in a little house with a bunch of other guys in Canada. Couple days ago I moved from my room in basement, to new room upstairs. Our router is located in the basement, so now I'm farther away from it. Starting from yesterday I started having some real nasty connectivity problems. Right in the middle of Dota2 game it will just disconnect me for some time. Then it may reconnect again, and then disconnect again and again and again! This is frustrating as hell! And that problem persist only on my PC, my phone connects just fine while my PC struggles. Also, as I've noticed, it might happen not only during Dota2 game, but at any other random moment. I guess that the problem is that now I'm farther from router, but I still have decent wi-fi signal! Can anyone suggest any kind of solution before I go nuts?!

Have you tried just moving the router one floor up? It might not be the problem, but it's generally easy to test.

Wi-Fi reception is more greatly affected by height than distance. In other words you're gonna have trouble even if it's directly downstairs/upstairs on a different floor. Move it to the same level your PC is.
