Video Cameos

Today a video was posted to Youtube to help fund a Kickstarter campaign[footnote]the link to the kickstarter is in my profile in case anyone cares[/footnote], by fans of the original game. They asked us, old-school players, to send in a video bit in support. So I made my first on purpose video appearance.

Being the incredibly shy person I am it took me quite a while to get my nerve up (for an 8 second clip).

So, discussion value, have you ever appeared in a video? On purpose?

EDIT: Of course if you feel like sharing your visage go right ahead, I would as well, but I think that would constitute advertising...

The only videos I've been in are strictly school-related. I've depicted everything from the immigration of the British in the 1840s to the fabulous dancing to funky-ass beats.

Not to my knowledge, no, I've never appeared on film on purpose, not counting family films that have been lost to time, of course. Not because I'm camera shy or anything. I just never had any reason to be filmed/film myself.

I made a highlight reel of a game night I hosted in a user group here for Halo: Reach, in the fail montage I appeared a few times, only because everyone else kept killing each other (I was the one with the blue flaming head). A link to the video is in my profile.

Yep, I used to be in an amateur dramatics group, and usually they'd film at least one night of whatever production we'd do. Thankfully, not very many DVDs get made, so the chances of my embarrassing performances getting out beyond the friends and family of the cast is virtually nil.

I was once in an ad for a show about how kids would be sad when Santa is taken out of Christmas...for about 2 seconds, looking happy next to Santa, and sad when Santa goes.

Not really - In real life I appeared briefly in footage for things that I wasn't directly involved in (in contrast to school productions I've participated in, which I feel are irrelevant to the discussion) and nothing else. I have, however, appeared in some Eve Online PvP videos that weren't created by me or anyone I knew in more than passing, which I found pretty cool. None were failures on my part either, which made me happy.

Nothing much so far, but i'm thinking of starting a youtube channel with game-related stuff during the summer, and some of my video/series ideas include me putting my lovely face infront of a camera, so that might happen.

When I was about 4-5 I was in an advert for a supermarket.. I barely remember it though and I'd be too shy to do anything like it again.

I was one of the three kings in a Nativity play when I was 4.
I stopped adoring the baby Jesus to wave at the camera, so I guess that counts as being on purpose.

I've been on the local news in a bit about the company I work for. It was quite the odd experience to say the least. I wasn't too nervous, but it was hot as hell that day & I looked like shit.
