I am currently engaged in a project with a friend of mine. We have to make some trailers for a café, which is cool because we love the series we have to do trailers for. BUT! We have some issues. People who actually do trailers has the advantage that the audiotrack where the have a certain line from a character is separated form the soundtrack. Whenever we want to ad a line, the is usually a soundtrack in the background which disturbs the trailers as a whole. Are there any video editing geniuses who can help us?

I can't help you in the technical department, but I can suggest a few solutions to MagGuyver your way out of this.
-Is the voice significantly louder than the background? If so, you could reduce the volume to the point of canceling out the background noise, then recording it and increasing the volume.
-Do you know anyone with a voice like that one? Try to find someone whose voice seems to match up and substitute, maybe editing the voice to match if you've got the means.

If these aren't helpful, I apologize. My technical prowess is in still images and photomanipulation, I know nothing of video editing =(
