Hi guys, I'm having some problems editing a home made video in Vegas Pro 11, the video file is in .vob format. I have tried to convert it to mpg format to edit in Sony Vegas but the 6 minute video comes up as only 15 seconds. All I want to do is cut out a 2 minute portion of the film and remove the sound. How can I fix the file length so that the whole video is imported into Sony Vegas?

Evidently either Sony Vegas is having a hissy fit and doesn't like the specific converted video format, the video converter is doing a rubbish job of converting it, or the source video has issues itself. Try a different converter or convert it to a different format.
