I quite like most of the Mass Effect aliens mainly good old Garrus and Tali. Halo elites are also good nominees and not just because their heads are good as trophies.

as much as I like garrus I couldnt resist thane, I mean hes pretty much designed to be attractive and when he starts calling you see-ha...I might romance him on my current playthrough
anyway I think its a pretty big acheivment on Biowares part to make having sex with this alien thing that looks like a veliciraptor totally belivable and heart warming
My favorite video game alien race has got to be the Chozo from the metroid series. Even though you never actually meet them (excluding Chozo ghosts from Metroid Prime, or Torizo from Super Metroid), you learn alot about their culture and history through the statuary, lore, and images left behind.
I think the Jackals in the Halo series are pretty ballsy. They have the stones to go up against the USMC with nothing more than a pistol (a pink-needle-gun if they're lucky) and an energy-cowering-plate attached to their arm.
Well, at least they WERE ballsy until the pussies discovered sniper rifles and carbines. Now they just camp at the other end of the map and replace the contents of my head with energy and radiation.

Actually a tough question.... Guess I will say the Quarians. I love their look and the culture is incredible believable.
