I know he's supposed to be all emotional and whatnot, and who wouldn't after seeing their mum get killed, but goddamn was he annoying!

I actually thought he was a girl at first and than when I figured out it was a boy I just started wondering why he's wearing capri pants and where the rest of his poncho went...

now that I think about it I don't think any of the characters were dressed like a normal person save Sazh and Snow, even if Snow did look like a creeper with that trench coat on and Sazh did sort of look like a Pirate...

Short version? "Hope" is more or less referring to Hope in general for Humanity, and a brighter future. "Shadows" more or less refers to two things.. I like the word, and I am firm believer in the philosophy of "Individuals are in charge of our future, whether good or ill". We are all shadows of a possible brighter future; Hope in change for the better.

..In a nutshell. It's a little confusing, I suppose?

that's sort of deep for a user name... mine is just my nickname from high school... I would carry around a bag with my P.E. clothes in it because I didn't have a locker and I would refer to it as my rucksack. Eventually it became Sac for short, hence the name...
