I'm curious, if there was a lobby in a FPS or multiplayer games like SC2, worms 2 or TF2 that allowed serious players to "ante" a certain amount of real money like on pokerstars or whatnot and have the winner take all, would you play it? I mean, I know it would be devastating for society (all the smart nerds making a lucrative career out of pwning noobs would mean there would be no one to take mid-level IT jobs) but wouldn't it also be kind of awesome? It would allow serious players to avoid droppers and ensure all players take the game seriously.

No for me, cos I'd be no good. But I think it could be a great way to generate income, especially with party games. Guitar Hero duelling, those quiz games, Worms. I can't see it happening though, it'd be too hard to regulate, especially if it included playing people from different countries, with different laws
