So I'm learning to play the guitar and I wanted to try some Diablo 2 or Neverwinter Nights songs. I can only, however, find tabs, which I'm not sure how to read at all (of they are for electrical or acoustic guitars...). Are there any sites with chords for these game's soundtracks?

I find www.ultimate-guitar.com to be the best tab/chord site out there. If you can't find what you are looking for, just see what Google has to offer.

911tabs.com is the best instrument tab search engine.. and you should get Guitar Pro 5 for tabs if you can't read notes

Tabs aren't hard; the six strings of the guitar are represented by the lines, i.e.
  • e
    B
    G
    D
    A
    E
and the numbers represent the frets that need to be held down (note, '0' means the open string).

Yeah, Guitar Pro is quality software, I'd second that you get it.

I generally find tabs easier to read; it's just the 'stupid' version of proper music notation. What have you found, link me in?

Thanks, my uncle is a veteran guitar player (about 33-35 years experience with both acoustic and electric guitars) and I'll ask him to teach me a bit.

I've found some tabs, but I have yet to learn how to read them faster.

Thanks, appreciate it. I can't wait till I try some of the songs I've seen on youtube. Like this crazy guy:

Original is played on... I think it was 12-string guitar, but this one is almost exactly the same as in-game Tristram soundtrack.

Not sure if you're really done, but there are a few tabs that I didn't find on 911tabs or Ultimate-Guitar. There are some here though.

That just comes with practice. Soon enough you'll find that you can pretty much play straight off a tab.

Yeah, I already know how to use tabs. Now all I need is a good guitar - I have two, but one is 30-year old and with steel strings, and the other one is 15 year old with 3 steel and 3 nylon strings... But hey, birthday is coming, so I can practice easier songs before that.

If you have Guitar Pro you can import MIDI tracks and it will tab them out for you.

I've been playing Castlevania 2: Belmont's Revenge music lately and it is freakin br00tal.
