Anothe Idea I had for a video game, were you would see through a camera. The camera would be on a shoulder or in the hand of someone in a small group. Everything would be shaky if you were not calmly walking. The camera could be knocked off the person you are playing as and you would only see the ground. So you would need to get someone to pick it up. If a character died, then someone else would need to hold the camera. But if the camera breaks or runs out of power, the game is over. What do you think?
overly complex and very hard to control
My idea: you play as a giant Robot. the Giant Robot's form is decided by the first vehicle you pick in an armory in the start game window. you can take every vehicle and combine with it (you do have an upper limit, which can be increased by finding say, a solid gold Semi in each level). each vehicle has its own power, along with other stats.
for instance:
Apache Helicopter=Flight, sawblade, chaingun
Tank= shield and rifle, resistant to damage
F-14= Duel swords, flight, grenades
Aircraft Carrier (takes up 5 vehicle slots for size penalty): waterproof (you can swim), Rocket laucher, mace, flamethrower. truly immense armor in exchange for speed.
APC: chainsaw, speed booster.
Mech (10 vehicle slot penalty, would only be 2, one as a boss, the other as an enemy): the best vehicle in the game, 3x damage, armor and speed. penalty for its power
