I was listening to my cousin trying to come up with game ideas that he thought was good but, to anyone with common sense, were there worst ideas I've heard in a while. It made me wonder what other people thought was a good idea so please post yours. Please add details such as story, genre, and setting.

The inFAMOUS [PROTOTYPE] (title stolen borrowed from the thread of the same title)

Pretty much Cole and Alex teaming up to defeat... something for... some reason in... somewhere.

Also there will be transformers.

Well I had this great idea for a game once, I called it "The Search Button". I presented it to EA and they're making it as we speak.

I had a vague idea for a survival horror game set during Napoleonic France. Some idiot who wants to rule instead of Napoleon uses magic to raise the dead, along with a bunch of other unsavoury beasties, to organise a coup. It winds up engulfing most of Europe except Britain, who send a ship with the PC on it to probe French waters and get stranded. Kinda just goes from there. I just really wanted to see Napoleon leading a zombie resistance.

A survival horror game in a submarine at the sea where giant squids are common. The aforementioned squid is destroying the ship while the oxygen is dropping sharks are swimming around in sections that force you to repair the sub on the outside or the filled up water rooms. Octopi also occupy these places. Before the squid got you you were fighting Russians (its in the cold war btw) and you will fight their subs survivors trying to steal your sub out of the ship. It goes on from there. Pretty vague.

Backspin Tennis. It's a cross between any random tennis game and Grand Theft Auto. You start the game as a homeless person and suddenly aspire to become a tennis superstar. Having no money you must do whatever it takes to become number 1. Features include:
1. Sandbox world.
2. Free Will / Non Linearity
3. Tennis / optional
4. Car theft / Murder / Political Stunts to gain attention
5. Poison, murder or smash your way through the opposition

It sounds retarded but I would play it.

You're part of a squad of marines in a conflict with somebody. You reach their capital only to learn of a highly unpredictable experimental device in their hands. Out of desperation, their forces set it off. The weapon begins to pull past, present and future together. The device gets stronger by the second, even beginning to bring back people (or what's left of them) back from the other times. You and your squad must battle through enemy soldiers, mindless remains of people from the past, strange and superior technology of those from the future, and even the device itself. You must shut off the device before it condenses time and space into a singularity, and ends the world.

I actually wanted to call it Singularity, I think it's much more deserving than glowing Spetsnaz fighting zombies controlled by eels.

I'll give you 10% for the rights to the hat idea. Plus, I want you to pay Raven Software a little visit...

Well, it's black. I'll let that sink in. I think that's way to much originality to sink in at one go.

I thought it would be cool to play as a member of an African tribe. I haven't decided a main goal for the game, if it's even necessary, but you'd have many smaller objectives, such as hunting and defending your village from lions. I imagine it as an FPS, with squad control for hunting and maybe some total war RTS elements when you become leader.

YOu play as a janitor who works for a big time game company, during the day you bribe gruards disable traps and camras. Why? so you can steal stuff at night in a open area building based on stealth. The game title will be cluptostodion.
