Video game knowledge!

Ok i have noticed a rapid decline in peoples idea of life and military views, many times i hear people talk about guns and beating someone up and killing someone like its nothing. I'm not saying guns are evil and either are video games..i have shot guns and played my share of games.I just don't understand why kids reference to Call of Duty in an intelligent conversation. Examples, In Modern Warfare 2 the Harrier jet hovers in its VTOL mode to kill people, which VTOL is only for landing and take off.And just because a game has some stupid idea everyone thinks its real. I hear some of the conversations lately between kids and i fear for my future and all of those around me who have enough intelligence not to take games seriously.

Well, Harrier jets are being retired so it reduces the chances of any of these kids stumbling on one then foolishly trying to attack a target while hovering. I worry about them piloting a helicopter gunship though. I hope they realise that they are supposed to use low level flight and the terrain to avoid radar and line of sight contact when engaging a target in a hostile area. In video games they just sort of hover around in the open waiting for any old idiot with a rocket launcher to take them out.

They're kids, what do they know? They'll eventually learn about how the real world functions, instead of getting all of their "knowledge" from video games. That is, unless they stay inside/in their basement all their lives, only playing video games, in which case you have nothing to fear from them. The only thing they might do to hurt you is fuck up your K/D ratio if you ever play against them.

It's the same with a lot of different social groups, a lot of people might act they way they do now, let them have their fun and enjoy their youth, before having to go to work every day, instead of doing the things you love.

Lol yes most heli's pilots have some evasive maneuvers for missiles, and I am sure after they got hit once most likely losing hydraulic fluid they would leave the battlefield instead of hovering in the air to kill more idiots.

Laughable really, as it is just used to test new aircraft materials, and none have been fitted with weapons systems. Or how people seriously think that any country on earth is stupid enough to attack the U.S. (Even ignoring the nuclear option, it would fail fast due to the USAF outclassing everybody else by at least 2 technological generations...)

:O Ohh god i just showed everyone the truth.. how if china and Russia got into a war we would probably side with Russia.. not fight them like all the games portray. Russia is not communist like china! lol Video games have it all wrong. Also we have so many resources tucked away up our asses we don't need any other country for like 30 years if the shit hits the fan.

It's not really a new thing. Many young people think certain parts of things from the media they like are real, at least the more subtly incorrect things. Though I could be completely wrong on this :/
