How bout None? Since video games provide entertainment by being played not watched. (Even though some are enjoyable being watched MGS)

i would say half life 2, although you would have to work around the fact that it's a sequel, and it would have a few holes, but i just don't think the first has a storyline worthy of a film. also, there's the fact that the protagonist never talks.

This topic again. :(
Man its fun to complain about other people's posts and then feel superior. No wonder I get so many negative comments about topics I start.

I don't know that this is a good idea. While the story is good and it would have some good action, we would lose the muteness of Gordon Freeman. That is part of his character and I don't see a movie working without him having dialogue.

I reckon the campaigns of L4D could be made into decent films with a few adjustments for film-ease. After all, they already have the advertising posters ready-made. :p

"Oh, well MGS 4 is a movie itself! Hur Hur Hur!" No. I will not stoop that low.

Anyway, back on topic. These. I think MGS could make a great movie.

I used to say it also. Then I realized how evil having opinions agreeing with fanboys is.

Almost any single-digit Final Fantasy, so long as they are done correctly (maybe should rethink this stance due to the movies already out there, but I want to see FF VI: the Movie).

I would like a well done Red Faction series of movie, following the story of the games.

But, seeing how that would require someone out there to notice the glory of the Red Faction series over all the Halos out there, i'd say NONE.

Why would you even suggest that? The story lines are crap and should dropped from the games altogether, at least then it'd be a truly sandbox game without some stupid asinine story and characters we don't give a shit about.

there'd be no point in copying the exact storyline, i agree with that. but perhaps doing what steven spielberg did for the war of the worlds remake, write a different script with different characters, but with the same struggle, so perhaps about a group of resistance fighters, but maybe throw in a gordon freeman moment for the fans, where you don't see the actor or hear him, but maybe you see his orange armor-clad arm holding a crowbar, rescuing the protagonists at a moment in the story, like when you get your crowbar for the first time, and you kill the two CP guys after they shoot a citizen and you rescue his female friend.
Then maybe see him again near the end, so it doesn't feel so arbitrary, and have constant references to him from characters, like people talking about freeman's return, and "The one free man", so we can see him from the perspective of the other characters, as a messiah.
