I'd have to say I can't criticize Super Smash Bros. But thats probably the nostalgia talking.

Just would like to point out, Pong wasn't the first video game ever made. Tennis for Two was created in 1958, beating Pong by 14 years. While perhaps you can't consider it a "video" game because it was played on a radar screen. In fact, there were earlier examples before Tennis for Two. Nought's and Crosses was an early one. There are many more, but like I said, they may not be considered video as they show visuals on radar screens.Ldude893 said:Yes, that too. The god of all video games cannot be questioned.lostleader said:Pong
Intresting is not how I would describe the characters....NeutralDrow said:Hmm...Tsukihime's sex scenes weren't written well, A Drug That Makes You Dream had too many, and Kanon's were fairly pointless. Otherwise, I would have no immediately obvious criticisms of those games. Wizardry 8 was a bit long, with a wacky difficulty curve and little support for dual-specialization. Tales of Symphonia had the inane Ymir Forest puzzle. Devil May Cry 3...

Okay, I have two: Devil May Cry 3 and Fate/Stay Night.
Admittedly, I'm specifically referring to DMC3: Special Edition, which fixed the difficulty settings. Otherwise, I really can't think of anything I didn't like. The music was awesome, the story was decent, the characters interesting and entertaining, the puzzles and exploration were fun, the combat was excellent, and the boss fights were spectacular. The closest I might come to criticism was the way the Arkham fight was handled (specifically, the second half), but it still worked all right (using the coding for the Doppelganger style), was a great moment besides, and was one of the game's hidden instances of multiplayer.
Some of the puzzels where just to cheap and could almost only be solved by trial and error.azukar said:Okay, everyone's said Portal already, but I'll add my candle of approval to the megawatt torch alerady shining.
Also, I just finished playing Professor Layton and the Curious Village. It's certainly not a game for everyone, but there is no legitimate criticism I can make of it.
(When I say 'legitimate', I mean how you could whinge that it doesn't have enough guns or how you can't collect stars, but then you're asking for it to be a different game).
It really depends on how much you play it really. If you only play for 1 month after purchase, it probably costs just over the cost of a normal game. If you play for a year, it's 40 pounds more expensive (if you were to pay on a month by month basis).Limzz said:On a side note, OP, how is WoW expensive?

Poor humour, poorly made repetitive puzzles. Overall a poorly made game. SEE different opinions mean anything can be criticized!Ldude893 said:*sigh*

No matter what you do in the first game, everything will be the same for you in the second game.tghm1801 said:Mass Effect 2.
Enough said.
I've noticed more people that like Another World thesedays which is great to see (check out Project Dust, Chahi's new game shown at E3, his first in 12 years).Lem0nade Inlay said:Oh right, good point I guess i didn't really think of it like that. Although I would criticize Ep One for being a bit short, but I don't really think you can criticize a game for that, because it comes down to the preference of the gamer.Trogdor1138 said:You seem to misunderstand the topic here, it's about games you can't personally criticize, I could definitely say Half Life 2 had some criticisms despite being one of my all time favourites. Episode One just suddenly sprang to mind as a game that I couldn't really say anything bad about it, I thought it was a well done continuation and was fun. All those 5 games pretty much aren't any of my top 10 of all time even.Lem0nade Inlay said:You liked episode one more than HL2 or Ep 2?Trogdor1138 said:Portal
Zelda: Four Swords Adventures (well, besides needing game boy advances and the setup to do multiplayer, but that's not really one to count)
Tetris
Pong

Half Life 2: Episode One
I can't think of all of them ofcourse, but those off the top of my head...
My favourite games of all time are Another World and Goldeneye, I could definitely say there were things I could criticize about them, but that doesn't stop them from being amazing to me.
By the way, Another World is fantastic!
