Red Dead Redemption, I'm just such a sucker for John Marston, he can do no wrong. I'm so blinded by that character I forgive any misgiving of the game and refuse to acknowledge them :B. Also, the last two Resident Evil's were pretty spot on, they are some of the few games that I have actually replayed multiple times. The game dearest to my heart would have to be Street Fighter II however, and like most people I've heard the nostalgia theory and agree with it, but I just can't see this game in any manner other than amazing.

the JRPG's flaw is always going to be grinding and though FF7 came close, some of the flaws are incredibly annoying. Just to name a few: ruby weapon's tentacle attack being instant death to the entire party, Female characters being useless (yifi, Tifa i'm looking at you) all the time you spend on aeris' character being a waste. the fact you couldn't skip the Knights of the round cinematic.
Those aren't exactly well founded criticisms. Every game has enemies with some kind of attack that someone will view as cheap (never even encountered what you're referring to with Ruby Weapon, his tentacles never one-shot my parties in any playthrough), female characters being useless I can't understand when practically every character plays the same except for their limit breaks, and KOTRT being too long could be applied to any game with any sort of load times.

I have no criticisms for Super Smash Brothers, Break Out, Final Fantasy VI, or Super Metroid.

Portal
Zelda: Four Swords Adventures (well, besides needing game boy advances and the setup to do multiplayer, but that's not really one to count)
Tetris
Pong
Joust
Half Life 2: Episode One

I can't think of all of them ofcourse, but those off the top of my head...
Half Life 2 EP 1 was aweful
I was indeed full of awe for the entire time I played it.
Oh Ha Ha Very Funny :}
Oh thank jebus, after I posted that lame attempt at humour I was thinking I'd just get flamed or something xD

I would say Mass Effect 2 if there wasn't planet scanning, so that's the probably the closest to a game I cannot criticize. A close second would be Assassins Creed 2. Love the game to death, but the camera can get a bit iffy on me from time to time.

It's of my personal opinion that this is as close to gaming perfection as we've gotten. Likeable characters, great voicework, an interesting storyline with unexpected twists, a genuinely fun battle system and one of the deepest fusion systems in a game to date. The only thing that you can really complain about is the hour and a half before you really start getting into Social Links, dungeon crawling and fusing but that's about it.
I LOVED Persona 3 and the second Persona 3 released (I forget what the official title was). How does Persona 4 compare? Is the gameplay a lot like Persona 3's?
Yup gameplay is similar except the battle system is vastly improved. You can now control all of your characters in battle so there's no more fumbling around hoping Mitsuru doesn't cast goddamn Marin Karin.

The story is also happy-go-lucky a lot more than P3. It kind of feels like supernatural Scooby-Doo with the mystery you have to solve except the main villain has a far more awesome motive. I dare say he makes a better antagonist than Ryoji/Nyx did.

Oh and the second P3 release was called Persona 3: FES.

Far Cry 2 and Oblivion.

FC2s mutiplayer is fantastic because of the map editor. I also love all the driving around you have to do ^^ I love the scenery.

No real need to say anything about Oblivion ;)
Really?

I mean, grats that you enjoyed it. But having to drive all over the damn country to get anywhere in FC2 killed it for me. Not to mention that every single human being outside of a town wanted to kill me for no adequately explained reason.

In other news, Oblivion's weakest spot is the central story. I could nitpick all day, but your (ostensibly) very reason for playing the game is just a really fucking weak attempt at a story. I'm sure mods and sidequests help the replayability, but ultimately it's Fallout 3 without guns. A disappointment compared to its namesake, plagued by problems with game mechanics and a certifiably shitty central plot.

Except that the AI's awful, the NPC dialogue is repetitive and poorly-voiced, and the difficulty system is severely broken. Don't get me wrong, I love the game to death...but it's certainly not above valid criticism.

OT: TF2 is fantastically balanced and completely addictive. I also have a very hard time thinking up criticisms for Age of Empires II, and, well...Portal. (I honestly didn't like it as much as most of the Escapist seems to have, but even so I can't deny that it's brilliant in its execution.)

Halo 3 because I can't think of any part of that game that I didn't love. I used to be crazy addicted to multiplayer and making forge maps, and I like the campaign misssions so much that I go back to play they occasionally. I also love Bungie for maintaining an overall great community and commitment to their games. I know I'm probably in the slim minority on this site so please have mercy on my post.
I wish I could agree with you, TurtleMan. I really wanted Halo 3 to be an epic successor, but Bungie did so little to really flush out the story, and the campaign was way too damn short. It just didn't live up to my expectations as a sequel; Halo 3 had wasted potential. That is my critique of an otherwise great game.
I'll agree that the campaign was pretty short but I'm kind of wierd about shooter games. I would rather have a strong six hour game verses a ten to twenty hour campaign that tends to drag in most cases with one or two filler levels. It also makes it easier for me to go back and play missions because the story is shorter and it's easier to jump right in any level. But like I said I have a wierd personal preferance for shooter campaigns.

Impossible for me: anyone who's read more than one of my posts knows that I can find flaws in anything. It's a gift and a curse.

My favorite games all have big flaws: San Andreas (pop-ins & glitches), Fallout 3 (buggier than an acid-head at burning-man), Burnout Revenge (Burning Laps).

The ones I have a hard time thinking of flaws for are those simpler concept games but I guess simplistic could be a flaw. Some of those games are Katamari, Rez, and things like that.
