Saving Private Ryan and Iron Giant were the only ones I've seen where I didn't go 'Why did I pay money to see this crap?'
I haven't seen Pitch Black, though I've heard decent things.
Sorry, what did he play in Iron Giant. I only rmemeber the kid and the giant.
He played the voice of the Giant.

I havent seen Iron Giant, but it appears to be getting good feedback here. Personally I liked Chronicles of Riddick more than Pitch Black. But as he's inevitably type cast how much can you expect. Does the movie maketh the man or the other way around?

Along with what's been said before (Saving Private Ryan, The Iron Giant, Pitch Black), I thought Chronicles of Riddick was okay. I didn't have any expectations going into it though, so that might have helped.

Pitch Black
Saving Private Ryan
Fast and the Furious (original only, rest were awful)
Indeed a fine list, may i point out that anyone who saw Chronicles of Riddick before Pitch Black you will think it was better, but only because (pun not intended) he butchered Riddick as a character for the sake of turning Riddicks into an action film. No i disagree all you muppets who think Pitch Black was an action film. Survival horror, more than Action and more Thriller than Surivial horror. Pitch Black was actually a really good film, the plot/characters all had thier own place and space in the movie world and can stand alone as individuals in a movie world where we see alot of repetition and the same character cliché's being played out. I would have been happy if they did a prequel for Riddick and his Police officer buddy (I am not ruining plot points as i recommend people to go see it) but to do a sequel with all that mythology and spiritual life rubbish? come on...that was cheap, dirt cheap to sell a movie with great special effects - despite how awesome he ends the final fight in it was.
In any case watch Pitch Black, then watch Chronicles if you feel compelled to be dissapointed.

Babylon A.D. was alright, not great but it was still a pretty interesting movie to watch.

I quite liked him in "(Find me)Guilty"

That movie was awesome.

I sortof liked "the pacifier" where he was an elite soldier who had to babysit a bunch of kids. Mainly cause seeing him doing stuff like that was teh lulz.

I liked fast and furious as well.

And i know i'm gonna get bashed for this, but i liekd the chronicles of riddick (the non-picth black one) as well. I think the resaon a lot of people hate it is because they we're excpecting something else, a sequel to pitch black, and the movies are extremely loosely tied, and they're completely different genres (like alien and star wars) but while i liked pitch black better, i still like Chronicles of Riddick as well. I gotta find the animated riddick movie Dark Fury as well some day

As well as the aforementioned, and against popular opinion, I really liked Chronicles of Riddick too. Sure, it was episodic and sprawling but the design, direction and pace were superb. I don't understand why people have taken against it so badly.
The art design coupled with the effects were phenomenal - and for all it's over the top stylistic flourishes, there were never moments that screamed out "Look at me, I'm a special effect!", which is certainly more than you can say for the Star Wars prequels (blech).

You keep what you kill.

ok i watched the chronicles of riddick before pitch black and for that was expecting more out of the movie pitch black. when i watched pitch black i came to relize that the makers of the chronicles of riddick butchered vin deisel's charecter. riddick is a surviver not a saint. I'm not an expert but i believe that he would much rather be left alone then go and fight a bunch of soliders. (not saying the fight would not have been fun to him)

The Iron Giant.

Everything else was garbage.

And yes, I include that boring-ass, over-hyped Tom Hanks (who is also boring-ass and over-hyped) movie.

Fair enough that they didn't want to make another sci-fi horror, I can totally understand that decision. But to completely change his character from "I don't care, anti-hero, lone wolf" to "I am the savior and now I have an army." Seriously, why does he now have an army? That's almost the exact opposite of everything his old character would have wanted.

And then there's the necromongers. They just plunge the universe in all this mythical nonsense religion and it ruins the entire feel of, well, everything.
Not to mention the amount of blue screen that was used. The first film was good because it felt real enough for a low budget sci-fi film, then the sequel comes along and from the very first film, everything feels fake.

What they should have done is simply continued having him on the run, maybe actually being captured (they did actually do this much right in the film) and then simply escaping and finding a safe haven or managing to put a final stop to all pursuit.

Sorry, it was on TV last night and after watching that silly bit with the knife, I needed to vent.

Saving Private Ryan, Boiler Room, Pitch Black, The Iron Giant and the 4th Fast and the Furious. I didn't like the first one too much, but the 4th is f-in awesome in my opinion.

I hated Chronicles of Riddick due to the dumb ass DEUS EX MACHINA ending.

Jesus, as if he was actually in Saving Private Ryan. I had no recollection.

Anyway:

Pitch Black
Chronicles of Riddick
The Pacifier (you heard, and my friend, deadly serious about this, thinks that was his best performance)

I actually liked Chronichles of Riddick, and I am looking forward to the third one. I liked Babylon A.D. as well, pp to a point. A shame they ran out of money towards the end; the ending of the movie was a true let down.
Fourth one, technically. There's an animated one too, I forget its name, that goes between the two live action ones.
Dark Fury. And I hope to god that next Riddick movie hurries up and gets made.

I liked xXx. Shut up. I actually do dig such cheesy movies. Blockbusters and shit, I do dig them.
Actually, I think I dig pretty much all movies, except for really, really shitty comedy, like the " Movie's", and a few movies that I find boring. Generally almost all movies at least entertain me.

Then, of course, Iron Giant. That movie was awesome. And Fast and the Furious.

And the Chronicles of Riddick. Liked that too.
