Yeah, he's mentioned this before. I don't know why anyone gets surprised when an actor (or writer) likes tabletop RPG's.

And apparently, he got Judi Dench to DM some quick sessions for himself and a few others during the making of Chronicle of Riddick. Role that around in your dice shakers!

I also find it surprising that he would beisted a CE rather than CN. CN value personal freedom over most anything else, much like how Riddick has only really killed anyone who has gone after him or gotten between him and his personal freedom. A CE however usually boils down to killing someone simply because they are weaker, which we've seen Riddick avoid doing throughout all three movies.
More than that, in each movie he's offered to help lead complete strangers (sometimes even his previous hunters) to safety, with the condition that if they slow him down he'll leave them behind (which he even went back on in certain cases).

If I had to imagine any rationale for it, it might come down to his behavior in the video games, which I have yet to fully explore. He might be "evil" on the simple merit of it being a video game where the player is expected to commit mass murder as game play.

I knew he was into DnD, but I didn't know about that housing situation, or that DnD played such a large part in his becoming an actor.

Hey....hey...Escapist? Are...are you Kotaku now?

I love that image as I recall what that book is referencing. I'm still to this day confused on why an article of that nature with its links was doing on kotaku, but I don't really read much of their articles so maybe its the norm there I don't know.
I haven't seen that before. What is that book referencing?

The official Complete Guide to Scoundrels lists Riddick as Chaotic Evil
This is actually the most surprising thing I've read in this topic. I totally would've pegged Riddick for CN

Also, I'd say Riddick is actually a Ranger (sans divine spellcasting). This is keeping in mind his apparently vast survival skills (see: Opening of Chronicles, and the opening of Riddick) and animal ken (recall his interaction with the guard dogs in Chronicles) penchant for dual-wielding those knives of his, and his stealth. He also receives a level adjustment for his Furyan heritage, which grants him darkvision and rage (the barbarian class feature) as a racial ability, similar to orcs.
Yeah, I'll just quote Complete Scoundrel's entry:

"Chaotic Evil: Scoundrels of this alignment take whatever they can, disregarding the needs of others. Unlikely to plan, they don't think about future necessities or gains, but take what's immediately available. Because these scoundrels care for nothing, sometimes not even themselves, they risk everything for even the slightest gain. Such soundrels might be incorrigible con artists, assassins, or cat burglars.
Examples: Carl Denham from the King Kong film, Riddick from Pitch Black"

Really folks? We show you an interesting clip that happened within 24 hours of a newspost, made it clear in the story that this is something everyone knows, and you respond like this?

The Tonight Show clip is new. That's not old news. That's what we're reporting on. I expect better of you all.

Couldn't find the article but typing up "Kotaku Tifa" fetched the below.

http://loltaku.tumblr.com/post/31086497905/kotaku-discovers-pornography-roughly-10-000-years

Basically Kotaku seemed to find out about hentai and did an article on a Tifa Doujin saying how horrible it was even providing links to pages from the book. The comments predictably were full of lols, and thanks for the hentai which Kotaku for some reason decided to link.
