Hey everyone. I've been sitting on an unused History diploma since December and I figured I should probably put that 5 years of college to good use, so I combined it with my love of video games! This is less of a "review" and more of a... well, just plain old information. Though I only do games I think are great, so the fact that I decided to do Fallout, or any future games, would mean that I would give it at least a 4 out of 5 on a 5 point scale.

I would like to make a series of these, so let me know whats good or what I need to improve. Thanks!

That was very interesting, as I have not played the other Fallouts I found it enlightening. Good Work.

I'm a bit unsure as to where a large portion of that information came from. Aside from the social and biological experimentation, I wasn't aware of the total number and purpose of the vaults, and does that mean the highest number is 122 or is it 121 if you include vault 0?

All in all, well done though.

I found it interesting to listen to.

However, if I were to give one criticism it would be your voice. You could improve your speaking abilities. Often times you would stutter for about a second, which is an awkward interruption.

Still, a minor complaint. I enjoyed the video overall.

A lot of this information came from the Fallout Bible ( http://www.duckandcover.cx/index.php?id=5 ), as well as information picked up through game playthroughs. The next one I plan on doing - Myst, a lot of it will come from the games themselves (including Riven, Myst III, etc) - you know all those books you pick up in the game with lots of pages, but there's usually only 1 important page to advance game play so you just go to the page and forget all about the book? Well the rest of the pages in these books contain lots of interesting information about the different worlds you visit, as well as the people responsible for creating all the worlds you visit in Myst.

Basically the point of these videos is to entertain knowledge junkies like myself. And the benefit of making these videos is that it will enlighten people who just find it too time consuming to learn all the interesting bits of trivia and lore to their favorite video games.

It's a good idea, very innovative.

A little tip I will offer is to maybe record it in segments, sounds like you were out of breath there a few times. Also, maybe slow down and try voice it a bit better.

Content wise - brilliant, always good to add depth to an epic game :)

Interesting stuff there. Record in segments as suggested above, or take your time between sentences and edit the gaps out in order to avoid running out of breath. Otherwise very cool.

This brings up a interesting point though: this isn't a review, yet it feels like it should be here. Perhaps this section should be renamed to "User Articles" to further the amount of content that Escapist forumgoers can put up?
