Virtual Reality with Kinect

A Kinect hacker in Japan has combined Microsoft's Kinect with Vuzix's VR glasses. This allows him to step inside a charakter in the virtual world. Thanks to Kinect he's able to interact with the virtual world, like kicking a ball or balancing on a board in dizzy height.
Considering that this is in an early stage of development, the interactions are really good.
Am I the only one who's reminded of the holodeck?
