Virus protection...

I have found myself needing a virus protection/scanning program...
Anybody have any good suggestions?

For free, get both Malwarebytes and SuperANTISpywareFREE Version.

Use both, you'll know your computer is clean. And safe. Also, invest in McAfee/Avast for more complicated situations.

That's my setup at least.

If you can, try to get Nod32 AV. For scanning purposes nothing is better than Clam AV.

Nod32 is the best choice, if not that Avast is pretty good too. I used that before getting Nod32

I use Norton Internet Security 2010.

Free: I recommend Microsoft Security Essentials to my Clients.
My conclusion came after testing and comparing MSE to Avast, AVG, Avira, and tandem w/Norton.

payed one? use NOD32, its probably one of the best.

for free use AVG in combination with spy bot

never ever ever use norton it slows down your computer like crazy and it needs a damn removal tool... its not much better than a virus actually XD
