Here's the issue: I just purchased Painkiller for my laptop, and having no issue with installation, began playing it. About 45 minutes in the game stops, an error reading "Painkiller has stopped working" pops up, then I'm shown to the desktop as the game shuts down.
I'm then treated to a "Windows is looking for a solution" window followed (very quickly) by a "Windows has not found a solution" message. Leaving me in the cold.

I have Vista as my operating system and, being aware of Vista's many, MANY issues, need some help. What little I've played of Painkiller is as awesome as Yahtzee described it but I want to play the whole thing WITHOUT being subjected to Vista's irritating error messages.

To make a long story short, does anybody have any idea what would be wrong and how I could fix it. I've provide any info on my computer if needed.

Thanks for any help,
Pump

I misread the title and thought it said "Vital Issue - Painkiller Overdose".

I was going to say don't waste precious time asking for advice on the internet, just go straight to hospital or call an ambulance.

I can't help you with your Painkiller game problems, since I don't have Vista, and I've never had any problems running it on XP.

I hope you get it fixed though, since it is an awesome game.

Have you tried looking on the Painkiller Technical Support [http://www.dreamcatchergames.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=14] forums?

I have no problems at all running it on Vista.

Does it not come back up after crashing?
Maybe you computer is overheating.

What are your specs?

And Vista does not have many MANY issues.

Find the latest video drivers from either your computer's manufacturer, or the manufacturer of the video card.

Normally, video drivers cause issues for games.
