Visual novels... I need some help

I will not hide that im quite the Anime and Manga lover,
So i am now here to ask the people of the escapist, a favor...

Does anyone know how or where i can find a Visual novel?

I have found that a lot of the series i like is based upon these "Games" so i wanna try one...

But I am not a person who understands Japanese, since i live in a small central European country, with only 5 million inhabitants, we dont realy associate with japan that mutch...


So does anyone know where i can either Download, and or buy one of these things?

Whacking 'visual novel' and 'visual novel dowload' into Google and these seemed to be the most suitable sites (with English translations at least, you might have to look a bit futher for Dansk, chum)

Translation Library [//translationlibrary.blicky.net/ff/ff_vnlibrary.htm]
The Visual Novel Database [//vndb.org/] - requires sign-up for best access

Bear in mind many of these sites have novels that are still 'in progress' in terms of translation.
Or if you want to make your own: Ren'Py Engine [//www.renpy.org/]

On a side note, whereabouts in Denmark are you based? It's not visual novel related, it's just since hearing about some of the amazing films you guys put out it's a country I've become interested in - oh, and satw [//satwcomic.com/] is partly to blame as well

About the Denmark thing, Im currently on the middle island known as "Fyn" in a tiiiiiiiiiiiny town called "Havndrup"...
I also Read SATW, and i find it awesome
