Vocal Minorities

We're all in a minority when it comes to personal preferences. Maybe you like something that everyone else hates with a passion, or maybe you hate something that is loved by many. What is your minority here? It can be a game, book, movie, food, music, etc. Anything that comes to mind.

I liked Indiana Jones IV and I still like the Sonic series. (Except Sonic Heroes. And STH 2006 looks like ass, though I've yet to try it for myself) I like the Wii, though I certainly have complaints.

And I'm not sure how many of you will know what I'm talking about here, but that Batman graphic novel, Arkham Asylum: A Serious House on Serious Earth is highly overrated. It's regarded as one of the best Batman stories ever, but I just don't see it. Batman is out of character, the art is confusing, and the coloring can make certain parts hard to read.

As someone who won't shut up about Lombaxes for some arbitrary reason, i am a pretty vocal minority consisting of one man. R&C fans are, as Moviebob noted, "a voice in the back", i just happen to be one dude who brought a megaphone.

I love Disturbed.

I hate first-person shooters.

I love sports games, including Madden.

These are 4 opinions that are very much the minority on this site that I came up with off the top of my head. I can think of hundreds more...

I'm not all that fond of Half-Life, and I don't feel Half-Life 2 added anything meaningful to the series.

Also, I don't rabidly hate the Halo or Modern Warfare franchises, just the majority of people that play them.

I believe that in their cores, all humans are egoistical, hypocritical, self serving narcissists driven only by their own biological desires, and that all existence begins and ends only in pain and sorrow.

People always argue with me about those facts. People are so stupid.

I think The Dark Night is highly overrated. It's average at best.

Oh and I like the new Star Wars trilogy. Including Episode 1 - I thought it was a refreshing change, and just enjoyable overall.

I am a connoisseur of Batman novels and storylines, and I half agree. Batman isn't fully in character, but I adore the artwork.

I'd probably have to say No Man's Land is my favourite Batman story.

On topic though, I tend to go against the grain quite a bit, I don't think Ocarina of Time was a great game, I preferred the Watchmen book to film, I thought Bioshock was lame, and my favourite Borderlands character is Mordecai

I hate sports. I'm not saying that because I'm fat I just find them incredibly boring. The only sports I like are soccer, rugby, and tennis which here in America aren't very popular.

The main things I hate that others would disagree with is the anime Naruto (I use to enjoy it), the old Tv show "The Amanda show" (I don't know how everyone in my class enjoyed that shit) and I hate, HATE the movie Avatar. >_>

I'm an Anime fan who prefers serious and philosophical series, not the Moe and Shonen crap...

Donnie Darko, while not a piece of shit, just was nothing special. Plus I hated that Mad World song.

That and I think David Lynch is a pretentious hack. Mullholland Dr is basically a shitty failed TV pilot with some added lesbian scenes to make it a film
