Does anyone else ever get those little voices in their heads? For instance, the moment I see a knife I hear "move it somewhere safe!" "is it dirty?" and "make sure you hold it pointed downwards in case someone surprises you!".

Anyone else get that?

Nah, I mean like whilst you're thinking... voices that sound like you, but aren't you start talking. Y'know? Other than your thoughts.

Usually when I'm thinking I always imagine two voices debating on two sides and from there I figure out a conclusion. Most often I imagine my voice but other times I add a little Scottish and Posh accents to them. :]

Yeah, it's just a little active imagination. It's only when you start hearing AND seeing things that you know something's wrong.

i have an internal monologue.

And i often talk to myself when i'm alone.

So far, i haven't spoken back, so i'm pretty sure i'm safe.

Oh, and occasionally the voice of Sauron compels me to seek the one ring,

Um... no. I often imagine myself speaking my thoughts out loud, just to confirm that they are not stupid. I often make the lip movements as well (with no sound), which tends to freak people out because it makes me look like a crazy person muttering to himself, but silently. But no, I don't actually hear voices, my own or anyone else's.

No, I know what you mean. I think they are just thoughts. Can you control the voices? In your voice, make them say, 'I give the film 'the Matrix' 5 stars'. Maybe what I have is slightly different. I think 'I should put that somewhere safe'.

Whenever I think things through I think it as someone acting out a monologue.

Helps with tricky mathematic problems.
