Volition developer would love a used game killing console

Another good developer has lost fallen from grace in my eyes with these comments

I am from this point onwards boycotting Volitions games I hope some of you will join me and this does go for any other developer who tries to kill used games from now on they used to be a lifeline to me when I didn't have much money and I would have never been able to play games so join me in telling volition what you think of them

Have you ever taken a game to a friends to play before because you wont be able to do that with what this guy wants its not just preowned games that will suffer from this

Hes free to have his opinion. The problem is his opinion is increadibly ill informed about how economics work and the issues with user unfriendly services. Ill give him credit that he's willing to work with the ideas of borrowing games and renting them (which are two of my major concerns with the issue) but his solutions are at best inconvienant.

I dont believe that this is boycott worthy. If this were the entire company backing it (maybe even a large portion of it) then sure, but this is one guy who happens to be a developer within the company.

The other issue for me is: I believe used game sales, like piracy, are just being used as a scapegoat for poor sales. There are a ton of talking points that go into that but at the end of the day its a scapegoat.

Suffice it to say, I will not be joining this boycott primarily because its just one guy's opinion, an opinion that has not been thought out and lacks a great deal of information
