Hi all - Just looking for recommendations for a solid VPN. I'm living in Korea, and, well, I'd like the rest of the Internet back. Price doesn't matter, ease of use is a plus...let's hear'em!

I used something called Anchorfree Hotspot Shield [http://www.anchorfree.com/] for a while...a bit finicky but it's free and works well enough.

I tried using Hotspot Shield but found it was way too slow. I use Expat Shield instead (the British version). It slows your internet down a little (but still more than useable) but to a far milder degree than Hotspot does.

It depends on what you want the internet for really. If you want Hulu or other American-only sights (might be North America only, I'm not sure except in that Britain doesn't get it) then use Hotspot but it'll be slow. If you just want access to a wider range of sites I'd recommend Expat Shield instead because it doesn't slow your net down as much.

They're both Anchorfree and normal free.

I've been doing a bit of research on various ones, and it seems like you really get what you pay for (or don't pay for, for that matter). Does anyone have any experience using Private Internet Access VPN? It seems fairly reasonable...quite a few gateways, myriad number of IP's, and it's only $40/year, which isn't a bad price at all.

As for what I'll be using it for...well, Korea has a habit of blocking all the fun parts of the internet. Anything that is deemed prurient is automatically blocked, in addition to the region locks on most commercialized content...

Anywho, thanks for the replies so far, and I'm looking forward to hearing more.

The one I use is TeamViewer; I've had good results with it. It's got free licenses, and although it does slow you down a bit, it isn't like going from Broadband to a dial-up connection.

TeamViewer is a remote desktop client. Not a VPN, which the OP needs.

OT- Got nothing. I just came in here really for Bear Man's comment.
