Greetings, I am undergoing a project that I need some help with. You have all heard of the cannonball run right? well this is somthing similar to that. I have not really worked alot of it out yet but the gist of it is that players post videos of them selves running from the most south-west to the most north-east cities in both Morrowind and Oblivion. I have only made a couple of rules (such as no speed potions and spells) but am looking for some people to help. Email me at [email protected] for more information (the 0 is a zero)

Thanks and I hope to see you soon

I'm a bit confused. Is this supposed to be difficult? I mean, yeah it will take ages but is there something else that's going to make it hard? I'm not trying to be offensive, sorry, I'm just... confused.

Is this some sort of race or competition?
Because that would probably be a bit unfair, since people with 100 Athletics and 100 Acrobatics will be able to breeze through Cyrodiil in a relatively short time. (My current Oblivion character has 92 and 90, respectively, with her armour on)

It is indeed a race. IT imagine that an orc if heavy armor with a speed of 20 wont even try :p so I thought it fair. You prepare for a race how you wish,
And not really hard. But if there are more people that means 2 things
1) gets done faster
2) more traffic for us, trying to be a big thing you know?

Just tap "Q" and go make yourself a sandwich, a big sandwich.

You know, unless you're playing it on a console and will require some contraption mostly constructed of elastic bands and lead weights to simulate a quickrun button.

Quick running is not allowed, new rule. Entire video must be presented to count

Get your athletics and speed up to 100.

Enchant clothing to boost both even higher.

Done. Should only take you about 10 minutes that way.

My buddy found a nifty little (non-cheating) way of getting his skills all over 1000 using a particular spell combo, and could make that run in about 4 seconds, if you're allowed to jump. You going to rule out jumping as well?

I run as fast as Maiq the Liar :p
Since I don't have any fancy programs or wires, I'll just have to film it on a digital camera.

Also, does enchanted jewelry count? Not from sigil stones, of course, those are easy to duplicate and could be considered cheating. I got the necklace from a wizard in the last part of the main quest.

So now you're suggesting that people video the whole thing? Where are they going to upload it to, and who is actually going to watch through it all? Seems like it will be bit boring is all.

If you want an interesting race, make it be a round trip from Cheydinal to say, Skingrad, where you have to stop in Skingrade to pickup a couple of cases of booze, and take it back east. Beer, preferably since the game lacks Coors. All in under 24 hours.

Also, probably do it with a wanted level since you'd be breaking whatever kind of speed limit Cyrodiil has, never mind the actual boot legging.

How could you tell?

All the "quick run" button does is run forward until you press the button again, exactly the same as holding down the forward button with a weight would.

No speed potions or spells, eh? So you'd have to be doing this at 100 ath, acro, and speed at maximum?

Because otherwise, as others have pointed out, there's always buffing enchants that can get you a pseudo-Icarian flight without the death at the end.

As much as I like the originality of this idea, I think it's doomed. Flat out running across the game world? Not very good.

What you COULD do is have a speed run through a certain quest, or quest lines.
OR release a MOD for either of the games that works as a scavenger hunt. Start with one clue, and that leads to another clue, which leads to another clue, etc. until you finally get to the end!

Your talking about the fortify stat/soul trap combo? no that is not allowed. Remember, no spells?

I mean no offence but this is the dumbest idea that I have ever heard of. Its far too hard to both regulate and monitor. Besides, what is the point?

Put 350 sparklers wrapped in tin foil, with a CD at both end, and sealed up with electrical tape; into a microwave. (I win dumbest idea ever?)

Seriously though, you should make it no armor, no enchants, no spells, and max difficulty settings. I agree though it is rather pointless...

Yes that would be fun if your are really, really, really board but I'd rater do what my friends did to me. Claim that there is a werewolf and let me think that for 2 months. Making me go totallay OCD then telling me once I found EVERYTHING that it was not real. I was pissed.
