It's a fun game, definitely worth the asking price. I bought it for full price and I enjoyed it a lot. If you enjoyed IWTBTG in any way then try this out.
Hang on...
People enjoyed IWBTG?

That game was just an exercise in controller snapping frustration. Except with a keyboard...

Hmm, I will have a look at this. It looks pretty interesting.

I must have tried 100 times and still couldn't get it. I just gave up out of frustration.
You have to jump up onto the sliding bar, then onto the pillar at the bottom, wait for the bar and jump back up on the other side.. you get the idea. Timing is just a big problem, same as the rest of the game.

Truely excellent game. Not only does it prove you don't need CoD-level graphics to have a fun game, but it's even better because of it. Terry Caomhánach, you're a legend. Éire abú!

Looks like any other free web based flash game you can play 500 varieties of online..

Why should this be worth 5 dollars?

no wonder its reduced to 5$, it looks like it should be at that price. 15$? srsly? thats more than an actual game thats 4 years old.
*copies, pastes*

Try playing it. The retro aesthetic is completely distinct from its gameplay; it doesn't need flashy, pretty graphics to make it awesome. I'm a post-16-bit gamer; I was raised on the PlayStation more than any other console. It's good, trust me.
Don't even try convincing him. Liquidcathedral is either a troll or runs on the same intellect level as a high school jock who's taken one-too-many blows to the head during football practice. Either way, trying to convince him of anything will never go well.

have now played it for 45min, saved three of the Vs and my opinion of the game FLIPS all the time, 5-6 min of raging and hating the game so much i want the creator to burn in hell, then 10 sec of hearing angels sing and feeling better than i thought possible about a game, this is especially true about "the tower" it was so awesome completing that level.

it does get a little to hard at times, but i must say i love the unique design for each screen and the music enough for me to wanna keep going even when it gets harder than what i find fun.

while the graphics are far from spectacular, but the design and music is, each screen has a humorous and unique design, the music is what you would expect the pop charts to be like in this futuristic robot world with teleporting.

its really fun and definitely worth the 5 euro, not so much the 15, but at the new price its a must buy, but if you're unsure it has a pretty good demo, http://www.kongregate.com/games/TerryCavanagh/vvvvvv-demo?acomplete=vvvvv give it a try ^^.

Shame this game is about the length and quality of you're standard flash game.

That and it's not really all the great.

Except that free flash games are generally crap, whereas this game is actually quite good. If you can't tell the difference in quality, well... let me just say it's not about graphics.

What's more, this designer is actually quite well regarded by other game developers. He's released most of his previous work for free, and it's all pretty good. Even if you don't think this individual game is worth $5, think of it as a donation for all the great games he's already given us.

Oh Fuck yes.
I've been meaning to pick this up for a while, but I don't have a credit card yet. It's going to be 5 bucks forever now? Sweeeeet...

$5 is not really that much to spend on a few hours of solid entertainment. With possible replay value depending on how many of the shiney things you collect.

Yeah $15 was probably a little over the top, but now there really is no excuse.

First thought on this comment was "What?" but when I think about it it's very similar.
(but IWBTG is better)

Oh, you're not going to like, "Doing Things The Hard Way" then. Let me put it this way: When he said that he died over 400 times, that tells me that he didn't try this level. Youtube it, and cry.

This game seems pretty awesome, I've already added it to my Steam wishlist, since I still can't get a decent job and I can't afford to even spend 5 bucks. When I get the money, I WILL buy it.

I saw the review of it on PCG a few months ago, and while it got a good review, I didn't think much of it. I saw that it was only five bucks and though back to the review, so i got it. Its awsome.

It's not hard, the trick for that room is going to the edge and flipping gravity, but the timing can be a bit tricky.

I'm currently agitated by Veni Vedi Vici.

Cleared with 9 trinkets, 839 deaths with 107 on the final challenge. That probably means that I suck but I'm pretty happy to have beaten it. Good game, will go back to it.
