i dont understand why people want an alpha protocol sequel
the first was dire
they say because their are 'improvements' that could be made on the first one
its all good putting shit in a dress but at the end of the day its still shit

Kid Icarus - Traditionally an '80s platformer, that's where it belonged. Now the new sequel looks to be going through the same motions as the Final Fantasy 7 movie, ie; introducing new characters, giving everyone a voice, and completely messing with the character design.

two worlds, ninety nine nights, street fighter 2(im not saying it's bad actualy its one of the most awesome games ever but anyone who has played the first would know what i mean),overlord the first was completely average why need a sequel, street fighter vs tekken (not technically a sequel to anything but why anounce a game almost a couple of weeks after anouncing street fighter vs marvel 3?),halo 3(i liked the first had no idea that halo 2 will suck so i bought the second one and after that came halo 3 what the hell were they thinking?! also it sucks not a surpirse for all of you probably)
now movies: the second twillight movie the first one was just cheap , the acting was horrible . the part where emos shine in the sunlight made me vomit.
shrek 4:i was so excited about the third i went to see it and i came back dissapointed after that i was like wtf?! when i found out about the fourth.
also i agree with cats and dogs 2
the worst part of any movie is that it will 90 percent have a game which will suck like every movie game to-date
now games that are absolutely needing a sequel : psychonauts... thats it

Army of Two. That studio should be sacked and have their bodies blasted blank and replaced with the brains and likenesses of OddWorld Inhabitants.
wtf? are you talking about army of two was awesome you probably didn't even play it
Or, I did play it and simply didn't enjoy it.
Also, question marks do not go in the middle of sentences.

I don't mind sequels, i like them more when the developers have waited a few years(Planning and stuff), or when the first game/movie obviously needed one, (Halo: CE, The first Toy Story, Gears of War and Iron Man are 4 examples that spring to mind)

But when a sequel comes out that no one wants like Lost Planet or Cats and Dogs then i usually just ignore them. So many great games/movies come out and many people want to see a sequel, and games/movies we don't care about get them!

I admit i liked Cats and Dogs, hell i loved it, but why oh why does it get a sequel? and who invented the name "Kitty Galore"...

Whoever made that name needs shot...with a sniper rifle...shot by Yahtzee...

Oh, and Cats and Dogs 2. It's not a game, but why the hell is there a sequel coming out?
That one completely baffles me. Why make a sequel to a fairly forgettable kids movie that came out ten years ago? I highly doubt kids today have even heard of the first movie, let alone actually seen it. Though I think MovieBob put it best:

"This would be like if ten years from now, someone made a sequel to Hotel For Dogs. Ha, see? You already forgot Hotel For Dogs existed."
And while I'm talking about movies, I have to mention Home Alone 4. A straight-to-DVD movie that's supposed to have the same characters from the first two movies, only the entire cast seriously doesn't look a thing like the old one. Why does Kevin now have brown hair and coddle a teddy bear? Why is Buzz suddenly five years younger, at least? Why have Marv's and Harry's names switched? I seriously don't think the writers had even seen the other movie's, they just looked up the synopsis on Wikipedia.

Anyways, gaming. Kane and Lynch is certainly questionable, as well as DJ Hero 2. I thought both of these games predecessors sold poorly? Oh wait, I guess DJ Hero was bound to get a sequel just because it's Activision.

Also, Bugs Bunny's Crazy Castle. Those of you who watch the AVGN know what I'm talking about. For those who don't know, this is a complete mystery. A really crappy NES game gets a sequel on the Gameboy. Then, almost ten years later it gets TWO MORE sequels on the Game Boy Color. But it doesn't stop there, they make a fifth game on the GBA only they replace Bugs Bunny with Woody Woodpecker. So basically it's a bad and forgettable game series that lasted somewhere around fifteen years because someone out there thought this series was worth reviving. Just think about that for a while.

No More Heroes.
Really, No more... Please!
At least they took that tedious open world out of the second one. Of course they could've made it cool, but no open world is better than that crap you had to cycle through in the first one.

Jak 3. The trilogy had ended. And they came up with Jak X. I wouldn't bash the game so much, I actually really like the racing mechanics, if it weren't for the fact that the only way for me to beat the game is to do it in one sitting. There is no possibility for me to save it. I got the infamous corrupting memory problem.

Maplestory... No seriously apprantly they are making a SEQUEL to Maplestory 2. Also Everquest. That didn't need a sequel. Nor does Ragnarok Online or hell the past 5 DDR mixes in the arcade.
But my biggest hate for sequel is probably the Call of Duty series. 1 2 and 4 are the only tolerable games in that series. They keep fucking milking that bandwagon. Also we can't forget Cats and Dogs 2. The first movie came out when I was what, like 6? Now I'm 14 and facepalms are everywhere. Toy Story 3 is understandable. This shit isn't.

Bloodrayne.
I actually thought the first Bloodrayne was good.

The second sucked ass though.

OT, Kane & Lynch.

Pretty much every reviewer and person I knew hated it, yet it's getting a sequel.

The only thing that might surprise me would be a Big Rigs 2.
Sequels to merely mediocre games are common as dirt.

Any Monkey Island after 2
Any COD after COD 4
Fable II
Prince of Persia 2008
Any Zelda after Twilight Princess

and hopefully there won't be any Metal Gear game chronologically after 4

Robocop come to mind. The game and the movie were good... but the sequels were atrocious and I didn't counted the PRIME DIRECTIVE trilogy that came afterward. RoboCable, what the hell?
*cries*

anyways im gonna hafta say the entire star wars series WHY did the make that stupid 3D movie?
First: Right back at you buddy.

Second: The first trilogy (4,5,6) are classic that still holds up to this day. Afterward, they shift into Kiddy flick faster then how i laugh at your grammar comment when i read your final phrase.
