Wait, what was that commercial for???

So just about 10 minutes ago, I was just taking a breaking from the internet, watching my T.V. I had left on, and suddenly, a commercial for RuneScape- NO, not even runescape, a website full of "cheats" for runescape... WTF???

I used to have a membership to that game, (ahh, I remember getting my ass kicked at castle wars) It was fun, but now doesn't everyone play world of warcraft??? where is the market for advertising that??? WHY??? How many 12 year old kids are going to be up at 11:30 just staring at the T.V. that is showing a commercial that is more silent than mute.

Welp, Escapist forum users, Do you remember when you played runescape? and what do you think of this dumb ad idea?

Seems like a silly idea for an ad, and I don't think many would go to it.

I remember parts of when I played Runescape. I didn't really enjoy it. I played off and on for a while, but didn't really play too often.

I loved runescape when I was 10-12, it ment the world to me... 8 months out of that I was a member. I was always a noob... XD

I never was a member, and I didn't get addicted, as I always felt I had better games to play at the time. I never really needed Runescape, and eventually it just left my life.

Is that the free one with the box people as characters? I never played that game, or Runescape either, if that isn't what I'm thinking of. Never had any interest in it.

I played for a little while, but I was so scared of losing all my best stuff I never did any real questing. Just alternating between crafting. If they want to spend their money, let them. It takes ad time from potentially annoying commercials

I remember when I never played Runescape, and I played a Text Adventure MMO titled "Achaea" for about half a year. I gave up on that game because there was WAAAAY too much roleplaying for me to handle.
